Recommend a polish and pad

Even though I've been detailing my own cars for 30 years, I have zero

experience with DAs and rotaries. My wife is buying me a PC for Christmas

and I would like to use it on her new Mazda Tribute(Mystic Black). The

finish is quite good, with just some light spider-webs and swirls. I've

scoured these forums and am quite overwhelmed with all the different

polishes, pads, etc. What do you recommend in a light polish and

corresponding pad for minor swirling?

Thank you for your time.

For a black car I would suggest Menzerna SIP on a white pad followed up by Menzerna Nano on a white pad. Top with you LSP and call it a day!

Thanks, zaxjax. SIP was on my short list, so it's good to see that you like it.

I second this combo !!!!

If you're going to buy those Ceramiclear polishes I guess you can't go wrong with that. Just as an alternate suggestion, you could go very simple and less expensive and try some Optimum Polish first on an orange pad, then on a white pad.

Thanks, Setec. Optimum was also on my list. I know it has a good rep here.
