Recent shots with the new SLR of the stable

Been extremely busy with the new gig, but wanted to share a few shots of the stable taken with my new Canon Rebel XTi. The camera is stock and I plan on picking up a Tamron 17-50mm lens and polarizing filter, then doing some practice runs. I'll eventually get good with it, but for now, enjoy my amateur SLR skills :).

The vehicles haven't seen a ton of love since I started my new job, but I try to get to them weekly with vacuuming, Z8 wipe-downs on the interior and for the exterior, Z7 washes, Z6/Z8 wipe-downs, and plenty of Z16 for the tires/wells. From time to time, I will add a layer of sealant and focus on the engine bays or under carriages, but overall, the cars have stayed in nice shape.

More recently, it finally decided to get cold up here in CT and the snow/ice has been consistent for a couple weeks. Keeping the vehicles clean has been a crap shoot, but I've tried. The G only sees weekend driving, so not much effort is needed with it. The others, I have been using Optimum No Rinse, but today it got up to the high-30s, so out came the hose and buckets.

All vehicles have 2 layers of Clear Seal on the paint, Z16 on tires/wells.

I though you were/are --retired --?

J/K -The rides look great.:bow :bow

Like you really needed a better camera with your skills :)

What are your thoughts on CS? It's been a popular topic around here lately.

Good to see you Sean. Looks like the new job is going well. The weather here in the NE has been a major PITA. I am counting the days till spring.

I never get tired of seeing your pics...:grinno:

Thanks folks :).

Greg: Retired from the big game :). Reference Vince Vaughn's waking up scene from "Mr. + Mrs. Smith" for what it means to be retired ;).

Clear Seal, in my experiences thus far, has proved to be a truly revolutionary product. I find the ease in the top tier with the only hickups I've had was when there were some water beads on the surface. It doesn't hinder how it works, but it doesn't spread as well. I've gotten some nice durability thus far in the salty NE and the look, well...The Zaino look has always been a keeper for me ;).

Bryan: My co-workers poke a little bit of fun me, but in the back of their minds, I see a little jealousy. It certainly makes for some conversation and my clients see it reflected in my work.

Sean,

I am sure your clients see you as having your "shiat together" in more ways then one. :bigups

Show off :shocked The stock pile of rides look sweet!

Enjoy the nice weather we're sending your way.

3" of snow, topped off with a few hours of freezing rain.

I'll see you soon for the A.M. party in Philly :waxing:

Very nice looking cars, especially amongst the weather!

You will not be disappointed with tamron lens, I just recently bought a tamron 28-300mm Xr Di AF telephoto lens and absolutely love it!

Zaino look beat out any high end Carnauba? I expect so :p Cmon back to Autopia! Do you feel the XTi is somewhat small in your hand?

Thanks again.

SilvaBimma: Nope, I'm used to a P+S (A620), so the SLR is a large piece for me.

You shoulda seen how easy the snow came off this morning on the recently CS'd surface, WOW. The first tap on the brakes and all of it just slid right off.
