Recent Ferrari and Lotus Pics

a.k.a. Troy@DetailCity
Still learning how to take good photos, but this is a start. We detailed these on Tuesday and thought everyone here would like to see them.

The first one is a 1993 Ferrari 340a Spyder and the second one is a 2005 Lotus Elise.

Customer was very pleased, and will have us back to do his nice ones now that he tested us on his clunkers.:D

Ferrari before (early morning no sun):

Ferrari after (noon time lots of sun):

Ferrari pics don't do the transformation justice, these cars were definitely in need of some proper polishing.

Lotus afters:

I shouldhave clunkers like those

Nice looking job.
The Lotus looks wild, it looks fast parked there and almost like it's grinning at you.

Great job on some very nice vehicles! I would love to be able to detail one of those. I can't wait to see the after pics of his top end vehicles. Do you know what else he has?

He showed me a couple classics he had there at his house. One was a cobra and another was a bmw. I know he used to race cars and I'm told he has quite a collection in a warehouse. Great guy, I didn't ask too many questions about his other cars, wanted to make sure he was happy with these. He is having us back to prep a few for a car show in mid February. So I should have more pics then. :dnaughty

Beautiful!

The home pictured with the Ferrari 340a looks pretty nice too :)

What process, products did you use on those fine rides?

I would rather not say what products I used. Being the owner of the forum, I don't think it would be apropriate for me to do so. I will say that they were products offered by the sponsors here.

Process was rather simple;

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Trim
4. DA Polish
5. LSP

Troy,

The pictures offer a great visual aid when used to compliment the process and products that you used.

Why not tell what products you used -it's valuable information, not pushing products or favoring one over the other unless these are your last 2 details of your life (LOL).

It must be me but when viewing the last picture of the Lotus all I could envision was the Lotus smiling as big as the owner after seeing the results of the detail. Exemplary!!!

As stated by others it would be nice to have a chance to detail a high end clunker(LOL) such as those two shown.

I think the detailing world will be able to make it without knowing what I used on these cars. :)

The pictures were posted because I thought the members here would like to see them. They weren't meant to be a step-by-step on how I detail cars or to show off the products I use.

Troy could you drop in one of those clunkers with my next order? :D

Great idea, Chee!! But I might have to shrink it a little to fit it into a box that the USPS can handle . . .

couldn't agree more...they are beautiful cars :bow

Great work on some beautiful automobiles. :bigups

The privilege of working on something like those is nice, but the responsiblity would be too much for me.
I was concerned when I worked on some friends SUVs, a black Saturn VUE and a Silver Chevrolet Trail Blazer that were a year old. Both had several parking lot scuffs plus the usual minor marring. They both turned out great, but it probably took me twice as long as I spend on my own cars.
Can you imagine messing up the paint on that Ferrari?

Charles you'd be surprised , but usually the owners of cars like that are pretty laid back. To them it's just a car...it's a different life style where I'm sure he's more protective of the Classics in the garage he can't replace rather than his daily drivers.

You're probably right. :)
Actually, I'm pretty laid back, but you sure as heck better not mess with my cars. :D

Fantastic job Troy!

I would probably pass out if I got within 10 ft of either car... let alone take a buffer to them.

Another day another dollar, eh? We should all be so lucky to get to work on such clunkers! They look stunning! I can't wait to see this gentleman's other cars.
