After I washed and dryed my car yesterday I 've found a scratch on the left side door.

I could barely feel the scratch and it was still in the clearcoat so I took my polisch (Wehrle) and polished the area.

The scratch was still there.

I polished a second time.Still no result, that means it was more difficult to see and to feel the scratch , but it was still there.

I finaly reached for the scratch remover, then again polished the spot. But the d**** thing was still there. The weard thing is that you can't feel it anymore, but in the correct angle it can be seen.

Help...???

Are you using a PC or trying by hand?

If I can't get the scratch out with scatchX - fine-cut or equivalent, I usually can "hide" the scatch using Machine Glaze then Blitz or soveran wax.

You can try fine-cut product with a PC and a cutting pad,, that may help then machine glaze (or equivalent) then your polish and wax

I don't have a PC,'cause I'm totaly unexperienced.

In my neighbourhood there's a bodyshop,I'm trying to get a peace of a car to practice on before I try it on my car.

I'm allso a bit scared to rub through the clearcoat thus making it worse.

Hi,Don,

My topper(s) are:first Turtle-wax super hard shell and on top of that Turtle wax carnauba wax paste(emerauld series).

Barry, how would you compare the 2? Curious about the PB polishes, and don't see many using them.

I think that the Opti-Seal has more cut to it, but I really like the way the PwS looks. They are close in my book. I guess it just depends on what is needed for the job. The PwS has a glossier finish and smell great. I happen to be a fan of Poorboys products.

That's interesting, I always thought Poli-seal left a pretty glossy look behind, and I love the banana scent. But i may give PwS a try since I'm having the PS drying-up issue.

The Poly-Seal does leave a glossy look. I just happen to like the finish on the PwS a tad bit more. I also like the fact that you can use the PwS outdoors in the sun. I don't have a garage, so that's a big one for me.

What about M151 or M66?

While I like working with D151, I find the protection it leaves on its own is laughable. In my eyes, it really requires an added step with at least a spray wax. For a true AIO, Poli-seal has pretty decent longevity. Sorry to keep going back to PS, but these 2 AIOs are the only ones I have any experience with and are on opposites ends of the spectrum in the correction vs. protection arena.
