A long time ago, I bought a 1qt metal paint can full of a product that was almost identical to Gtechniq C4 for about $500. It was marketed to me as a way to restore plastic and a temporary fix to deep scratches that could be applied at car dealerships. We used it to restore plastic as opposed to "fixing" scratches. I don`t know the science behind it, but in practice, it seemed to apply a semi-permanent clear-coat to plastic trim and lasted at least 6 months.
By the time I was ready to re-order, I had lost the company`s contact information and had no idea what the product was called since it was sent to me in a metal paint can.
I recently ordered Gtechniq C4 and this seems to be almost functionally identical to what we had before, except that its prohibitively expensive to use for our purposed (commercial auto detailing in the $200 range).
Does anyone know of an alternative product that is basically the same thing, but reasonably priced?
Thanks so much!
