Rear Deck Carpet UV Protection?

My wife's old car had its rear deck carpeting scorched by the Florida sun for about 10 years, it looks really bad. I recently bought a new Mustang and I'd like to avoid that fate (even though I'm in Seattle now) Any suggestions? Would 303 protectant be usefull if sprayed on it? Would the Ultima interior protectant help?

Thanks! And I thought I'd been through all the car care product categories, apparently I missed one. Now I just have to tell the wife I need to make another order :nervous2:
