Really Dumb Dilution Question

They make them for the Corvette. They recommend that you remove them if you are going to store the car for awhile. Well, that's what I'm doing for a few months (more or less - actually I will run it when the weather permits.) So, I'm going to get them and put them on when I get back from the UK. They are cheap - why not! Then I'll take them off and put them back on once or twice just to see how practical they are and report back here. I already have small stone chip in my inside front wheelwell (only an Autopian would notice, trust me...)
 
If I was a C5 Corvette owner, the first product I would buy would be some type of leather protectant.

My wife and I attended a Corvette mini-concours meet in North Carolina recently, and we were appalled by the leather seat wear on near-NEW Corvettes. The driver's side bolsters seem to easily fissure, crack and abrade. Shocking, since the owners seemed very fastidious about their cars.

A company called Colors Plus makes a clear coat leather protection product that might help preserve the GM leather.

I'm careful getting in and out, and also use Zaino Leather In A Bottle and 303. So far so good. Also, I made sure and got the sport seats - better quality than the base-model seats. I think 90% of the problems with the seats are based on, how shall I put this delicately ... fat-a$$ed baby-boomers getting in and out like it's a freakin' SUV. You ought to see my wife get in the car. It makes me so proud as she preforms a balancing act of masterful seat insertion.



Funny, but at the vette show I was at a few weeks back I really didn't see too much problem in that area. Maybe I wasn't paying close attention to the C5's. Or maybe folks are larger in North Carolina. ;)
 
Hey everyone, this is a dumb question, but I'll ask to verify anyway. When you dilute your APC and you say you do it at a 10:1 ratio, that's 10 water 1 APC, correct, not the other way around??

haha, and just remember if you are diluting a few different products in a short amount of time, some are 4:1 and others are 4oz:1gal, etc. Just something to watch out for :D
 
Yes, make sure you dilute your products, one time many many years ago I forgot and paid the price...................Boo Hoo:banghead::doh:
