well my car is 1.5 years old now and i think it time to give it a real detail. when i first bought it i use ex-p and natty on it only. the car paint is in good condition, just little scratches from washing and maybe rocks on freeway. my question is should i use SR1 on the whole car or just where i can see the scratches? I got Lake County pad( i think there three colors which is white, black and orange) i dont remember which is for what?

Use it on the whole car only becasue it will make everything look uniform and if there is any really tiny scratches it will get them out and make the car look even better. Orange is light cutting pad(heavy swirls all SSR's can be used with this pad, White is polishing pad (all SSR's in your case use this with the SSR1, and Polishes), and Black is finishing (LSP's ex, ex-p). Hope this helps :bigups

thanks pockets.

so should i let ex-p cure before i put on nattys?

Just like the nattys you have to let it dry to a haze (time will vary but it should be less than 30 min) but if you want to have a deeper shine let it sit for 45 min to an hour.

You should wait about 24 hours before you put on Nattys after an application of EX-P.

so does the poorboy pure polish goes on before the ex-p ?

polish
ex-p
natty

is that how it should be apply?

Yes, the products you listed should be applied in that order. Just make sure that you allow the sealant time to cure before you apply the wax.

just to double check.

wash
dry
clay
wash
dry
ssr1
pure polish
ex-p
natty

this is what order i was planning on doing.

also i only have one black pad, would it be ok to use the polish with it and ex-p right after that?

the black pad is only for the EX-P , you can use the white one with the Polish and the SSR1 :) ...I would also reverse the order of the PP and SSR1 ...SSR1 will give the finish a better glow ;)

ok i got it.

wash
dry
clay
wash
dry
polish ( white pad)
ssr 1 ( white pad )
ex-p (black pad)
natty

so it would be ok to use both the polish and ssr1 on the same pad? or do i need two seperate.

it would be best to have 2 pads, but if you don't, just use a soft nylon brush and make sure there is no extra polish adhered to the surface before moving on to the SSR1 ...***disclaimer ...SSR1 will stain your white pad, but not cause any other problems :) ***
