I have read so many threads these last few days I am still left scrating my head, of what products to go to. I want to know what the best products are out there for the rotary.

I have been using the PC 7424 with the Poorboys line using LC pads. Next week I will be reciving my Makita 9227:heelclick . I hear you can use the LC pads from the PC on the rotary, but I hardly hear anyone using the Poorboys line using the rotary.

Many detailers use a large variety of products based on the condition of the job they are facing, All is great but I want to see what there main "go to" products are and why. This including wash to wax of the exterior of the car. I am hardly interested in ease of use of a product but more of the outcome within. Please Help :help:

My current List:

Wash: Megs Gold Class

Clay: Clay Magic/ Mothers

Polish: SSR 1 / 2.5 and Megs #2 FCC

Selant/Glaze: EX-P, Megs #7 SCG

Wax: Natty's Blue

Quick Detailer: Poorboys S&G

when your new toy comes in, give your products a shot. it just might be all you need for the majority of your work.

I would agree with ikon. Give the products a shot before looking to more detailing products. If you've had success with the products in the past and you're happy with the results, then you may just find that you already have what you need.

:2thumbs: Thats what I was hoping to hear, I don't want to be missing out on something better. :buffing:

Yeah agree with the above statements. If SSR line up dont work for ya. A LOT of people are have success with the Optimum and Menzerna line ups

Thats why I am so curious to get them but only if there are gains over the SSR.

I went from a PC to a rotary a few years ago and initally bought some rotary pads just for that new machine at the time. I now use most of my PC pads as I like the smaller diameter and workability of the PC pads on my rotary. I've used PB's with my rotary but my favorites are Menzerna and Optimum polishes with the rotary.

Whats your "goto" Menzerna or Optimum? I can justify telling the ol lady that I am going to buy one or the other but not both, can't afford to sleep on the couch another night after ording my Makita the other day.

I got my rotary last week and this was what felt comfortable using since it was my first time with a rotary. I order the LC 7 ½ pads and the Menzerna 106ff polish. Order a bunch different colors but the one I was most comfortable using was the LC black pad and I ran the buffer at or below 1200 rpm's. I felt that be conservative gave me a wider margin or error. With this combination is successful in removing 95 percent of the paint defects including the minor spider webbing. Remember the old saying “speed killsâ€.
