Ray`s Precision Polishing Kit

We`re having a little bit of fun this holiday season :) The head honchos at PBMG asked us to put together our own personal kits on Autogeek and this is what I came up with...

Ray`s Precision Polishing Kit Free Bonus!

Just wanted to share :) If you`re in the market for a RUPES LHR 75E, then this is a great place to start. If you`ve seen any of my recent details, you know what I think about this combination of products.

The 3 inch RUPES is more than capable of polishing an entire car to perfection on its own, let alone as a compliment to a larger polisher. If you think about it, you`re not sacrificing much when going down to a smaller 3.5 inch pad compared to a 5.5 pad. In exchange for the smaller diameter, you`re getting the ability to easily polish smaller panels and edges effortlessly.

The other employee kits can be found here:
Paul`s Wolfgang Clean, Coat & Maintain Kit
Bryan`s Ultimate Paint Protection Kit
Jesse`s Christmas Gift Kit
Tommy`s Complete Car Care Gift Set
Andre`s Weekend Warrior Kit

This is next on my buy list I think. I`m tired of my GG6. Hard to use it after experiencing how smooth Rupes machines are.

Looking this gift horse in the mouth :o ...wish there were a sale on the LHR75E *without* the MFs and BF products. Most preferably, just the (HD version of) polisher by itself.

Accumulatorette has been known to buy me Polishers for Christmas, and I`ve dropped a few hints about what I`d like to use to bring the Jag back from the dead, but a) I don`t want/need the MFs/BF, b) she generally doesn`t buy anything other than the Polisher anyhow as she knows I have my preferences Re pads/products/etc., and c) Rupes stuff is expensive enough that she might balk at the thought she`s paying anything for such extras.

lol what?

black fire flames!

anyway... is this kit going to shift to ACC any time soon?

You`ll now see it on the site by the end of the day.

I was hoping the title would be change to `Ray`s Nano Precision Polishing Kit` .. *hint hint*

I would have to have and use a Nano...in order to recommend it as a "Ray`s Kit"....**hint hint upper management hint hint**

If you don`t have a Rupes mini, get one! After my Rupes 15 it is my second most used detailing tool. I would recommend the Rupes pads (skip the green and blue) along with the B&S microfiber cutting pads to make it a great deal. I`m still waiting to get my hands on the new LC microfiber pads. I don`t know why Meg`s discontinued their 3 inch microfiber pads (the 3 inch machine broke?).

Ray how do you like those orbital pads on the mini?

Low sales killed the Meg`s pads. The new B&S microfiber pads look and sound nice. The uro-tec`s are supposedly going to be available in smaller sizes as well.

Hands down my favorite on the mini, that`s why they`re in that kit. I love what Lake Country did with those HD Orbital pads. I`m not a fan of thin pads on long throw machines, but the HD Orbital pads are like a mix of the benefits of thin and thick pads. The "dual density design" makes the face of the pads act like a thin pad, while the high density thick foam backing keeps the pad perfectly balanced on the machine so it stays smooth and works like butter on curves. The type of foam is great too. The foam reminds me of the HydroTech pads in the way it can cut and finish, but much more durable as I`ve abused a few pads already (using them for much longer than I would normally use a pad) and haven`t had a single pad shed yet. You can run any of those HD Orbital pads on the Rupes Mini on Speed 1 and won`t be able to bog the machine down...it`s a beautiful thing.

I`ve been enjoying these pads so much that I bought a set of the 6 inch pads to try on the Rupes 15. I`m giving them a test run on black paint this weekend.

Looks like I have some pads to try out on my mini and on the 15 MKII. Like you I don`t like thin pads on the Rupes 15 MKII. Looking forward to your feedback on the larger version of the pads.
