Rasky's AD: Black 2000 Chevy truck

RaskyR1

Rasky's Auto Detailing
Black 2000 Chevy truck, complete detail (no motor)

This truck belongs to a co-worker/friend of mine. Originally we were only going to do a 1-step correction. After doing a few test panels I was very unhappy with the results I was getting from my 1-step polishes. I called him up and asked for more time and offered to do a 2-step at no extra charge.

I had planned on using M205 as a 1-step via Flex 3401 but it was micro marring like crazy....yet it worked flawlessly on the rotary.

Thank you. I just use the Bissell Little Green Machine. For $90 it does a pretty good job when used with a carpet brush and a shop vac. I also have this battery powered scrubber that helps on those salt spots (similar to attaching a brush to a Porter Cable).

I hope to get a nice extractor soon though. The tank is small on the LGM and it's a hassle to have to keep filling it.

When black is done, it looks great..........
(bet it dont stay that way long)

Hahaha. The owner is married with 2 kids, another on the way, works full time, and also goes to school part time...I'm guessing the two bucket method is out of the question for him. :D

Awesome work! That thing looks amazing! You said you finished around 2:30...just curious, how long did the whole thing take?

Also, sorry to ask the question everyone else probabaly already knows, but what was your process on the wheels? Just tryin to get a better feel for how you guys do what you do! Thanks!

I think I had about 16-18 hours in it by the time I was all done. For the wheels I sprayed them down with P21S wheel gel, scrubbed them with various brushes, and then used the new Mothers Power Cone to polish them...guess I forgot to add that to the list of tools!

I've done rigs like that and know how you feel...great and outstanding work...the rims are really impressive...a weak spot for me in detailing...meaning I hate a half a$$ job..those are surely not...

WOW! :bigups Great job Rasky! Those wheels especially.

Thanks Eric. I picked up that new Mothers Power Cone...it worked like a champ. ;)

Thanks Dave. I'm definitely not a fan of cleaning them either.

Agreed, however I notice the tires look brand spanking new.Doesn't look like you used any dressing, just a fresh tire

I recently pick up some Amazing Roll Off. It really does work very well and is great at removing tire blooming.:bigups

I'm also not a fan of super greasy looking tires. ;)

Awesome turnaround Rasky! I do alot of those trucks myself and I know what you mean they really drain you. Keep up the great work!:bigups

Sweet,I'm gonna grab some.My last detail was a black chevy almost just like that one.The tire was stained brown and nothing I had would touch it...is that what you meant by tire blooming?lol

Yep.

You spray on the ARO and you can see the brown start to come right off. I go over the tires with a medium stiff brush too and then rinse them off. ;)
