OK so here's my story. I'm in college now and I decided to go out of state. Since my school is over 1,000 miles away from home, all my traveling is by plane. As of right now I haven't been home in three months, I've missed spending Thanksgiving with my family and my b-day was last week and I missed that too. There have been times when I've been homesick to the point where I had this gloomy feeling for hours on end.
This last week I was so happy as I was finishing each of my finals because as I finished each one, my break seemed realer. Today I was so happy that I was going to finally fly home tomorrow. I was suppose to arrive at 12:45pm. I was so happy that I could attend my favorite church service of the year, the candle light service. Then all of a sudden when I checked my e-mail at 8pm there was a e-mail from Delta telling me that my flight that departed 6:50am from Madison was canceled and that I was rebooked on a 2:45pm flight. That's over 7 hours apart! I'm suppose to be out of my dorm by 12pm tomorrow so I have to go wait for three hours since I will be going there by taxi so I don't want to leave at 12 just in case something happens with the taxi. And then I have to have a three and a half hours layover in Atlanta for my connection.
I know that people around Colorado have it worst, but this is, like the title says, the third time that they've changed my itinerary. In addition I received the e-mail less than 12 hours from my original flight. What if I didn't check my e-mail since I was preparing to pack my computer. They did give me a front seat on the plane and I get to fly first class on the flight from Atlanta though. I guess they thought they could try to redeem themselves.
Sorry for the long post, and thank you to all who read it. Everyone is gone right now and I needed to get it off my chest. I don't think I've ever used so many curse words before as I did when I saw that e-mail. rant off.
