2006 Range Rover. Owner is the daughter of a regular customer, was just looking for a thorough interior cleaning and protection for the upcoming winter, such that we get in north Texas. Moderate swirls and contamination but interior was better than expected. Range Rover clear isn't particularly hard so one step really made a nice improvement.

Opti-Clay yellow (mild)
Optimum Hyper Polish using an orange Optimum foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes DA

2006 Volkswagen Touareg. Owned by one of my cycling buddies-actually he started off as a customer but since he lives close by and we both road bike, we've also become good friends. Just looking for a basic detail, at some point he will need to have the headlights wet sanded and polished out.

ONR wash
Clay Magic purple and blue mixed 50/50 (purple is very aggressive, blue not so much-good mixture on harder paints)
Optimum G-P-S using an orange Optimum foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes DA
Armor All on tires/wheel wells
3D Trim Protectant on exterior trim

The green picnic bench you see in the background was where we changed a flat on his bike a week before when we did a 50 mile ride on Labor Day. Just so happened his office was right along the route we took.

2005 Honda CRV. Honestly, this was probably the nicest CRV I've ever detailed. Usually they are absolutely trashed. The owner was giving it to his daughter and wanted it cleaned up for her.

While I was working on this CRV, I got a text from a customer whose M6 I coated a month or so ago that said "you are right across the street from me". Small world, didn't know where he lived because he had me take care of his car at his office.

2000 BMW 528. Owner purchased this car from a BMW mechanic, so despite the miles (160k) its in amazing condition mechanically and the owner himself is a hobbyist detailer so overall the car is cosmetically pretty good too given the age and mileage. However, it did have moderate spider swirls and the owner also wanted Opti-Coat Pro to protect the paint.

Before

A few afters

ONR wash
Opti-Clay yellow
Meguiars M100 mixed 50/50 with Rupes Keramik Gloss using a Meguiars microfiber cutting pad and Rupes DA-able to get 90-95% correction with just this one step which kept the detail within the owner's budget
30% IPA wipedown
Opti-Coat Pro applied to paint and wheels
Optimum Glass Coating applied to the windshield
Armor All on tires/wheel wells

You know the customer is happy when the first word out of their mouth is "wow!". :)

Not sure how I missed these? Nice work guys! Gotta love Lexus interior, clean up so nice! Bimmer looks great!

Hey Scott,

I really like the Land Rover and the CRV's are great vehicles. We have one that is 14 years old and just about to hit 200,000 miles.

Glad to see a bbunch of glossy light colored cars.

I know right? How often does that happen?

Looking good Scott.  BMW is in damn fine shape for a 14 year old car

You ought to see the interior. Looks like it has 20,000 miles, not 160,000.

Why do you think I have a Honda? ;)

My neighbor has the same year and color CRV with 200,000 miles. It looks great but could look better with some Scottwax love.

How does the opti-seal stand up against micro-marring. The winters in the Chicago area are pretty bad and there are not detailers that will do maintenance washes on my car and I don't have time during the winter to wash my cars. I want to add a paint coating so I can run the cars through a automatic wash to get them clean. Will the opti-seal stand up against the automatic wash? I was reading with the paint coatings I can run it through the touch-less washes because the dirty does not stick.

Touchless is fine but there is no such thing as a safe brush wash, coatings or not.

Do you have time to spray the salt off your car at a coin-op car wash, then take it home and use a rinseless wash in your garage?

I probably could if I squeezed some time out but I want to try not to if I don't have to because the winters are pretty rough in the Northern Chicago Suburbs. Also have you tried any other coatings, Cquartz; Cquartz UK; Gtechniq Exo, and Gtechinq C1 and how do they compare to Opti-seal? Then can I polish the opti-seal off if I want to put a new coat every year or if I do it badly?

Opti-Seal is a sealant not a coating. Of all the coatings on the market, I don't know of one that lasts as long as Opti-Coat Pro. Haven't tried the others, rather concentrate on one and be really good at it.
