I detail out of the San Diego, Ca area and I just wanted to see what everyone else does on those rainy days. We are expecting rain for an entire week.

Well we don't get that much rain here in AZ, but on rainy weeks like we have had recently and this week I use that time to create new brochures, postcards etc... I also use that time to call my customers and reschedule them to a better time. Also, some of my clients have multiple cars and I will work with them to wash one or two when it rains because they don't drive them all. This creates cash flow even when it is raining. The biggest thing I have learned is don't let the weather get you down, you can't control it. However, you can control your productivity in putting yourself out there to get new customers when it's raining. It's going to stop sometime and they will then need their car or cars done. Hope this helps! :cool

I'm watching the rain bead up and runoff my Daily Driver that has a coat of UPP.....sad, i know.... :( But its beading really nicely! :dancin

That's what I'm doing except I used Optimum.;)

Rainy days usually mean I'll be taking lots of naps...you know because detailing can get tiring ;-)

Actually, I sometimes use the opportunity to reorganize my products, or to clean the caps since stuff can get clogged in them easily.

Rain? Whats That? :cool

Just kidding. We've been having an abnormally dry and sunny winter up here in Washington. :cool

I live in Southern California and tend to think of rainy days as, blessings. It gives some time to work on (paper work and advertising) things or to relax. But more importantly (next to family is business, and business sometimes is family), it allows me, "Extra", time to meet people out and about. "Those cars and suv's DO need to be cleaned when it stops raining next week, so heres my business card I have a few openings left next week".... yadda yadda, sales, blah blah... so you catch my drift, no?

Enjoy the rain guys. Weather (hehe) you like it or not, its here. Embrace it, love it, learn to work with it and you will do alright in life.
