RainX

I have been looking at Jnger's method of applying RainX to the glass and I went to their website to check it out. http://www.rainx.com/frame_auto_glass.htm

They have the ''original'' glass cleaner and then windshield wax. Here is what they say about the wax.

''Rain-X® Windshield Wax

Formulated to offer the same protection of Rain-X® original glass treatment in an easier-to-apply opaque liquid. Now you can see where the treatment has been applied and where it needs to be buffed off!''

Ok now the question is that if that is a wax then won't it smear when you use the windshield wipers for SOME reason?

If all RainX glass treatment and RainX windshield wax have wax in them then why not just use AIO and S/G? The things that RainX says about what their products will do is the same as what the Twins do but better since its a man made wax (sealant). Any thoughts oppinions?

The windshield "wax" version of Rain-X does not have wax in it. It's simply the regular Rain-X formula with a little colorant/solvent/resin added to it. That gives it the color, and when the solvents evaporate the resin remains, thus is looks hazed like a wax. They are simply using the term wax, it isn't a wax, nor does it contain wax.

Regular Rain-X does not have wax in it either. Both products are a dimethal silicone oil.
