Quick Zaino question.

No more garage for me, I rather save the money so the P21S wax isn't an option anymore.

I like Klasse because it darkens my red Chevrolet but I like the life span/beading of Zaino.

What Zaino product will deepen my red paint, if that is even an option. I THINK I have been using Z2, either that or Z1, it’s the clear bottle, tan looking product. Used a bottle of it this past summer, good stuff but I got used to the deep dark red shine.

Maybe I'll just use Klasse, I dont know yet.

Hmmm... I did not know that you can just use

Z1 by itself (Z1 is tan color).

I thought it was supposed to be a "primer" for Z2/Z3

to aid in sealant/paint adhesion.

(Z2: pink color - for clear coat)

(Z3: blue color - for single stage)

I have used both Z1/Z2 and Z1/Z3 on my apple candy red

minivan with pretty result.

Actually, some people also like Z5 because it is supposed

to add more depth (not as optically clear as Z2/Z3).

I have AIO followed by S100 (much cheaper than P21S) with

much success.

Currenty I have found 4 star UPP. This is great stuff over AIO.

(super slick).

If you have a clear coat there's only Z2/Z5 and I don't think either one by itself will add any depth to your red.You can alway's top it with a carnuba or as I've done and topped it with #16.

Zaino won't alter the look of the paint, Sal designed it that way. If you want your paint darkened, you'll need to top the Z with something. I prefer Z5 on Reds myself, I feel it looks better than Z2.

Do all your Zaino.

When you are done, top it with Souveran paste. This will deepen the color a bit, but it will also look very deep/wet looking as opposed to bright and what some refer to as a plastic wrap look.

Zaino looks more like paint when it just comes out of a paint booth!

You could substitute P21S for Souveran, but the Souveran is really geared for reds and blacks.

Deanski

I'm really trying to stay away from any sort of wax, I need the protection and durability of a sealent and I want to be able to layer multiple coats without bonding trouble (if wax even is a bonding issue).

I'll go home and see which Z bottle I was using and if the other full bottles are what you guys recommend I use then I'll give Zaino one last shot, if not I'll go with Klasse. I feel Klasse last's just about as long and I like what it does to my red paint.

Cool guys, thanks.

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

Wash the car with Zanio Z-7 (1.5 oz / gall) and then add Souveran paste, as Deanski says it looks great on red or, black (and on Porsche yellow)

~Hope this helps~
