Quick: REcommendations for a Silver Quickie?

Chicks Dig Comb Overs
My boss loaned me his silver S2000 for the evening while two of my cars are in the shop. I'm thinking I'll have time tonight and tomorrow morning to clean it up a little. I can probably manage a 2-step process.

:wait What would you recommend for the most impact on silver? I have probably got whatever you'll likely recommend except Signature Series, Trade Secret, EX and EX-P

I'm thinking PwC tonight with a topper of Natty's or S100 in the morning or maybe UPC and UPP or perhaps Wolfgang PWPE followed by DGS ... so many choices so little experience with Silver ....
:write

If it were my 2 step, it would be Klasse AIO and then UPP.
With your products, I think it would be the UPC and then the UPP.
The look and slickness of UPP has made it my first choice for a LSP.

I'd go with KimWallace's suggestion.I never did a Poorboy's on silver yet(except Natty's) but I'll be doing a Poorboy's extravaganza on my wife's silver this week.

I've cleaned a section of the car with S&W - it's really dull. I'm thinking I need to go with a strong cleaner like AIO or PwC. Then evaluate. Might look better if I spend my time cleaning it and polishing then using a quick wax like SpeedBead or 4-Star spray wax.

:dunno

I agree with some previous posts. AIO, then UPP & top with a premium carnauba if there's time ..... you won't be disappointed.

Perhaps mtodde or silverlexus will contribute if they're on-line.

Thanks for the input. I tried several things including AIO, PwC, UPC, Wolfgang Prewax Polish Enhancer and SSR1 but there was no bling - still dull. :(

I had to go to the grape! SSR2.5 brought out the shine. :mohawk

Afterwards I only had time for 1 coat of UPP. We'll see what my boss says when he gets to work and sees the car. If he lets me have that car again tonight, I'll put a topper on it. And clean the convertible roof - it really looks bad now compared to the rest of the car.

Poorboys stikes again. 2.5 is a cool product. Glad you found somthing you were happy with.

Never hurts to be nice to the boss.

A topper or another application of UPP. That way you could add more UPP occasionally and keep it looking good. (Just in case you need to borrow it again.)

Bite your tongue Charles! :fart

I'm only borrowing the car because I have one in the body shop and one getting transmission work! Although I occassionally get the S2000 for a night when his wife needs to borrow my truck. She makes the most gorgeous seashell frame mirrors and occassionally has to haul supplies. I don't mind. ;)

Certainly not suggesting you should have more problems.
It was just that having to use the S2000 might not be the worst thing that could happen.
In fact if they would like to haul their stuff under cover, I could probably be persuaded to exchange my mini-van for the S2000 for a week or two this summer.:)

Yea, the s2000 is fun car to drive. Not as good looking to me as my z3 but much much faster!!

I mean - according to the test results in the magazines, of course ;)

As usual, surface prep is everything.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I read a DC post by someone (CleanDean??) having problems detailing a Black S2000 primarily 'cause it was single stage paint.

VM + EX-P is my favorite. AIO + UPP are great too.

I have them all if you want to stop by and get some samples.

I've still got the s2000 for 1 more night. So far it's upp 2x after some caressing with SSR2.5. I'll probably slap some s100 or maybe nattys on it tonight and post some picts. I tried to rescue the rear window last night. No luck there. It's a goner. I can't beleive the crap that came off with renovo but it didn't even help a little.
