Quick question, mostly for pros...

I am considering becoming a distributor for a plastic manufacturer, and want to know what kind of interest there would be for me to strictly cater to detailers.



These products would mostly be bottles. The bottles they make are a soft plastic, that I use for mixing Zaino, or taking small quantities of product somewhere to reduce the amount of stuff I have to carry. They also produce spray bottles, that I use to dilute my APC's, QD's, ONR, etc. They make sprayers to fit the smaller bottles as well, so, for instance you could give small bottles (any size in ounces) of QD to your customers, so that they can boost your sealant/wax between washes.



Thier plastics are VERY high quality, and, I prefer thier small bottles as opposed to all others I have tried from different manufacturers, because they are soft, so they are easy to squeeze, and they make flip top lids for all of thier bottles.



I want to know if it would be best to supply you with bottles in single form, kits, or both.....for example......



Singles...all come with caps

1/2oz.

1oz.

2oz.

4oz.

8oz.

16oz.

32oz.

adjustable sprayer with strainer for 32oz.

fine mist sprayer for 2oz.-8oz.

Flip top for 2oz.-16oz.

dropper for 1/2oz-1oz.



Or I could sell kits of any combination you want.



These bottles make great replacements for your Zaino mixing bottles, I use the spray bottles to dilute my Z6 and Z8, or my APC. I love them, and I would like to service this community only, and make these easily accessable to the community without haveing to search them out.



Please let me know if you think it would be helpful to you not to have to search them out, or if you are one that would like to "keep it in the community".



I like the support here, and honestly only want to help keep things easily accessible. I honestly would only charge minimally over what I pay to cover the paypal charges, and make a nickle per bottle, I think that would keep costs to you very low, and as an added bonus, I would ship USPS flat rate to keep things fast and cheap.



I go to this store every once in awhile, so, I wouldn't have to pay for shipping to me, and have to upcharge to cover that.



If you guys like the idea, I will make myself a distributer, so that everyone is protected should something arise.

When it comes to bottles, usplastic.com has some good ones, and bottles, for me at least, don't need to be of GREAT quality... as long as the bottle is strong enough not to rip or crack or anything like that when dropped, knocked over, etc... I'm fine with it... so like I said, if you sell bottles that are cheaper than what I currently get, I would definitely be interested...



As for sprayers, I have yet to find a quality sprayer where I can order 5 and all 5 will last me a long time... I've had sprayers from Meguiar's, usplastic, and few other places, that lasted a day and something cracked... I'm trying out some home depot sprayers now to see how long they will last... long story short, I'd be interested in buying a few sprayers from you to see how good they work and how long they last
 
I currently have about six of the 32oz. spray bottles that I use on a regular basis, and I have yet to have one fail on me in any way.



Here is a pic of all of thier bottles and sprayers. They do, however sell, MANY more plastic based items.

Since they make them in house, I doubt, but it could be possible that they make them for other companies. I have personally only had one usplastics bottle and sprayer, and I threw it away long ago because it started a mysterious leak, LOL. I have no idea where it was comming from! LOL.



EDIT: I just checked both sites, and the retail prices are near identical. So it would plainly be a matter of preference, or supporting one or the other. I , of course, would hope that you would buy mine simply because you like me..........but I would hope that the quality is there as well, LOL.

Can you PM me the prices for all of the items?
 
I would like to become a distributor so I could give you better prices than retail.



But as for retail, the prices between my mfr, and usplastics are near identical, but remember, that's retail.

If I do go through with this, I think I will end up biting the bullet and giving away spray bottles to people that will post up about how they perform, and how the quality is.



I will keep you in mind when that time comes.........speaking of time.....I'll bump this up tomorrow. Nighty-night time.

FWIW, I don't see anything you said as being spam, you were just asking a business type question for products (bottles).

To be honest with you I just can't see a lot of profit from reselling the bottles. This market is pretty much bursting at the seems now. You have manufactures that sell directly to the public at tremendous savings. There is also WM, you can go to there womens section where they have the hair products and get just about any small type bottle you want for a buck or less.



I sure don't want to dampen your ideas because that is what business is all about, but this just isn't a very good business plan, sorry, I would rather bust your bubble now than have you loose money and make a mistake. This is just my opinion and others may see things differently.

I get all my stuff from USPlastics. Cheap price, and I get my order within 24 hours.



with that said, I like 8oz. bottles w/ flip dispensing caps. I also like 24oz. GRADUATED bottles with either low profile, misting sprayers or high volume sprayers (of course chemical resistant).
 
It's all good, I was just thinking to make things easier accesable to you guys, I'm not interested in making a full time job of it, LOL.



I was just feeling it out.



For instance, everything in the picture I posted could be purchased retail for $4.00, I would be just under that for everything pictured. So it really wouldn't be a great business venture for me, really just helping make access easier for you guys.



I see a thread, or post every nowe and again with someone asking where to get replacement Zaino bottles, or spray bottles, etc. So I though something like this would help.
