Quick Fix for a new Client

So since spring has sprung here in the south I've been in detailing heaven. Got a call from this client earlier in the week saying he had accidently dropped some garden tools on his new car he's only had for a week and it left a scratch on his front bumper. He saw my website and really liked the fact that I was working as a mobile unit and could come out to him. I stated that I had an appointment near his area this morning and would be glad to stop on by after my first appointment to look at his scratch and how I could be able to help.

When I arrive he takes me out to his Gallardo to show me what happened. He just traded a silver one in on this new one. So to say that he was a bit bummed about having a scratch on it already was a little bit of an understatement.

Now in person the scratch was like a sore thumb just sticking out there. But something about this yellow really doesn’t let the camera pick up the defects well at all. But the front bumper was marred from the rake falling on it.

I had to wetsand the defect out.

Pulled it out in the sun to make sure it gone.

This was just a quick fix for this SNAFU. He has a nice collection of cars that I will be taking care of here soon. I'll be back there in a few weeks to give this a proper detailing. He's extremely interested in getting a clear bra put on this as his silver one had came with one. Unfortunately I haven't met anyone here yet that doe’s clear bra installs with quality I like enough. If anyone knows of somewhere relatively close that does a good job that I can send him He'd be very appreciative. He's out of the Greenville SC area.

I know it's quick and simple but thanks for looking guys.

Most definatly Scott. He invited us to several local events coming up already. Took a stack of cards and dropped a few names and locations he wants me to contact. It was definatly a good meeting. I've actually had a nice run lately of some very nice cars and locations. I have to say I was nervous at first about going mobile full time but for the past couple of months I've managed to fall into a nice niche that works well for me and some of the scenery is just breath taking for locations to just spend a quite day away detailing. The cars are a nice bonus too LOL.

Thanks.. Yea he's already emailed about how happy he is with the turn out. I'm just glad the timing worked out with everything. It's great to connect to new people.

Thanks Josh. Yea. I tried several angles and I just couldn't get the camera to pick it up. in person it looked pretty prominant there. When I go back out there in a couple of weeks I'm taking a better camera, Hopefully I can pick up the defects on it then. The scratch here was right at the lip from the front bumper crossing over to the trunk lid. about 6" long.

Switch the camera setting to "close up", and then get as close as you can to the damage and you should get it then. You can literally get like half an inch away and it still be in focus with that setting.

Josh

I'll do that Josh. Thanks again on that. Just not much of a camera man I guess. And Gianni yea things are shaping up much nicer for me down here. I still think it was the best move I've ever made. And to see so many other Michigan guys getting out of there kind of confirms it more and more for me. There's parts I miss and all But for the most part I just wish I did this years ago.
