Quick detailer?

I have a black 2005 Saab 9-5 Aero, I wash weekly with z-7 and follow up with either z-6 or z-8.

Within a day or two of washing it's dusty (pollen, road dust, etc...)

If I were to qd I'd use z-6 with cobra microfiber (miracle towel?)

Is it ok to quick detail between washes? Will it scratch or cause swirls?

thanks,

z6 is great product that will aide in the process of keeping your car clean and shiny. It will also help reduce instilled swirls. It will not stop the process just mitigate it. Anytime the paint is touched should give pause for cause. Less is more if swirls are a concern.

It is okay to QD between washes, but it does introduce the possibility or marring. If you're careful and use some common sense about it, you can minimize the marring chances.

I have a black car and here is what I do to stay on top of the cleaning...I have a CA duster that I use everyday this takes of a lot of the daily dust off...

I follow that up and some PB S&W to get anything that is stuck to the surface and clean the rims...then if I am feeling energetic, I get out the QD spray and finish up the car.

The S&W and MFT are the key to cutting down on any marring between washes...the QD just adds the POP!

Thanks for the responses.

Any problems scratching with CA duster?

So how does S&W (spray and wipe) differ from qd? Are they the same thing?
My polishes and stuff are limited to Zaino's line.

There will be no real marring with a CD to speak of...it has a chemical on it that lifts the dust off the car..for a black car owner they are a must IMO

S&W is a waterless wash designed to replace a bucket wash if you will...its a great maintenance product that you could use daily instead of washing with water...

OD on the other hand is a shine enhancement product there are no cleaning properties in it..so using it for cleaning off the daily dust would introduce some marring IMO and that might be what you are seeing on your car...you need to get the car clean before you use QD the S&W or bucket wash are the ways to accomplish that

No problems with my CD, and I use it in the same manner as Beemer. I believe the chemical he is referring to is paraffin wax.

S&W is more a waterless wash than a QD. It doesn't really have the "shine enhancing agents" that a QD would have. I think it's a little safer to use than a QD on heavier dirt.

Thanks all,
Looks like I'll be placing an order soon.

Since I usualy only have time to wash the car on the weekends, I imagine I'd only use the s&w mid-week to clean up some of the dust.
