Questions on old bottle of Menzerna Final Polish II

I've got an old bottle of Menzerna Final Polish II. It's about 3-4 years old and has always been stored in the house. Is it still safe/good to use? Also what is the equivalent of Final Polish II in the current line up? And the last question... what polish in the current Menzerna line up would have more just a bit more cutting power than Final Polish II. I'm only looking to remove some very minor swirls. Thanks!!!

I don't think polish goes bad that readily but it should be a smooth consistency and FPII is fairly oily. I personally wouldn't worry about using it unless it looked dried out or chunked up. FPII was at one time the finest polish Menzerna made. It is probably closest to 85RD.

I used mine last year and it's several years old. It worked just fine. As long as it's been inside or hasn't been exposed to extreme temps, I'm sure it will be OK.

I also have FP II that is about as old and I still use it on minor swirling. As stated before, it's probably closest to Menzerna's current PO85rd. According to some charts I've seen, PO85rd has a cut of 1 (scale of 1 to 5) and gloss of 5 (1 to 5) whereas FP II has a cut of 1 and gloss of 4.5. IMO, I seriously doubt 95% of the folks out there (me being one of them) could tell the difference between a car finished with PO85rd and one with FP II.:ohwell:

I was looking at the Menzerna polishing chart and it actually has FP II's cutting power at 2 instead of 1. Thought I'd just mention it.

This chart can be found in the menzerna usa site. FPII = Micro Polish PO87MC
