Questions for those using the Vacuboom...

I'm looking to purchase a water reclaim system. After doing lots of searching, the Vacuboom looks to be the best option. Aside from low-cost options such as sand snakes and other temporary "berms", which look to be all but completely ineffective, the main alternative to the Vacuboom is a wash mat of some sort. However, these mats look like a huge PITA and seem susceptible to damage. So anyways, I've settled on a Vacuboom (unless someone can convince me otherwise in regards to the alternatives).

I was planning on getting the 20ft. open loop model with the 202 CFM vacuum (the standard unit is 20ft. open loop with 101 CFM vacuum). I wanted to go with the upgraded vacuum so as to be able to add more berms in the future if necessary. However, after looking at the unit on the Top of the Line website, I would need 5000W for the 202 CFM unit, and my eu3000is will only do 3000W (just enough for the 101 CFM machine). I really don't want to replace the generator for obvious reasons (its just so great!) so I'm thinking I'm just going to get the 20ft. open loop model with the 101 CFM vacuum.

Here are my questions...

For those that use the Vacuboom, are you using the 101 or 202 CFM unit? Do you find the 101 to be enough, or should I find a way to be able to run the more powerful machine? I'm thinking that the 101 will be just fine for my needs but I want to get all the facts before making such a large purchase and possibly realize that I should have bought the better unit from the beginning.

For those that are inevitably going to tell me, "Just get QEW/ONR/etc... problem solved!" I am just starting to use ONR and find it to be a good product, but it doesn't do me much good when doing really dirty vehicles, undercarriages, motors, wheel wells, wheels/tires, etc. I still have a need to wash using the traditional methods.

All help is appreciated!

Have you given any consideration to the Vacu berm system? I've been using this system for two years now and have had no problems. i went with the PEV 13.5. Water lift is 137". 100 CFM and 13.5 AMPS. If you wanted to upgrade to the PEV 2 x 13.5. Which is 170" water lift, @00 CFM, and 27.0 AMPS. The thing that impressed me was the size of the vacuum which is smaller than the vacuboom. I have not had any issues with the 100 CFM, but if you are going to use two vac hoses, than I would upgrade. Give Gerry a call @ 1-800-400-CLEAN. The website is Pressure Washer Information, Sales, Parts & Accessories. They can answer all your questions. Hope this will help you.
