Questions about Sealants Before Winter - Help!

Getting cold here in MA, and I'm looking to do my last serious wash/polish/sealant before the winter. Which one of the below three products do you feel will give me the best winter protection along with ease of use to apply by hand? Also, due to time, I may only be able to apply the sealant without a polish first, so please take that into account. Which is the best - any tips regarding the products too? Here are the three products I'm thinking about.

Klasse HGSG

Mazerna FMJ (kit) - anyone used this yet?

Poorboys EX or EX-P

I'm thinking about the Mazerna product, but I don't know much about it. Can everyone let me know what you think? Obviously I only went with sealant choices as i figured it would be my best winter protection. Also, if you could list any products you use for application or removal I'd appreciate it.

Looking forward to your responses. Thanks everyone. :thx

layering any of those a few times will net you a few good months of durability. I've never been able to get SG thin enough on application, and I've never used FMJ, so im kinda partial to EX-P. If you've got some #16, 845IW, or another higher than normal durability wax, layer the sealant a few times and then top with the wax to have a very durable combo.

I've never used a sealant before... this summer I've been using poorboys polish w/carnuba followed by blue nattys. The reason I was leaning towards the FMJ is due to all of the comments I hear about the HGSG application issues. I usually never use sealant, always a good carnuba to top polish. But then again, I haven't had this car in the winter yet! Trying my best to prepare!

Hello there Joey. I live in Newton too. I've been prepping my car and the cars of friends & family lately for the winter. My car has three coats of Zymol Vintage and will be garaged most of the winter. It only comes out from time to time and only when there is no snow on the street. The two other cars I prepped I did so with a coat of FMJ topped with a coat of P21S. I'm hoping that will last a few months. The FMJ was really easy to use and comes out looking great. The P21S was applied for added durability and I think it improved the look as well. It was almost equally easy to use.

FYI . . . CAR is a 1.5 hour drive from Newton.

how is the collinite compared to other waxes? I have been using blue natty's and P21S lately. I'm thinking I'm going to grab the FMJ for sure, and if I can get ahold of the collinite I'll give it a shot.

for the price of fmj you can goto a local autobody shop and get a 1/2 gallon of #21

read the reviews here on #21 its a real nice sealant

Hey STI - Black WRX here... looks good on your paint? Did you put some polish down first, or was your paint clean already? I just ordered the FMJ...doing it this weekend.
