question regarding streaking after SG

I just noticed today, in the sun, that I was left with alot of streaking on my car after I applied the SG last weekend. How can I remove that? If I'll apply another layer of SG, is it gonna cover it, as long as I wipe it good?

If you reapply AIO as Burlyq suggested, you will be back at square one as it will remove the SG. The best solution I have found for SG's streaking is to just wash the car. Oh, and use less SG. ;)

In doing some SG studies, I've noticed it's propensity to streak. I've also noticed it goes away with multiple coats. I strongly suspect it's a function of incomplete application of the product to the substrate. This is made worse by the recommended practice of dabbing a few drops onto a sponge and attempting to smear it around. You don't get good coverage that way.

If you layer in cross patterns, you can really observe the effect until about layer four or so. Dry application of SG is worse at this streaking than damp application.

Has anyone tried putting SG in a bottle with a Windex-type sprayer on it? Or....would this lead to not being thin enough?

I use a small pump sprayer, its been recomended here a lot to help you get thin coats. I also use Sonus QD, it really makes SG a breeze and IMO give a better look than SG alone. DavidB recomended a mix of SG and Sonus and I tried it in my sprayer, worked very well but lately I have no trouble just using the SG alone and remove it with a small amount of Sonus on my MF.

I haven't tried it yet, but I strongly suspect this is probably the best method for applying it to your sponge or other applicator. It would give the widest coverage and probably go a long way towards eliminating streaking and giving a uniform coverage.
