Question on Using the Porter Cable 7424 Polisher (help please).

I have no problem using the tool. My question is; After you apply a product (compound, polish, or wax), can you use the tool to remove the material or buff the car? ...or do you buff it out by hand?

Yes you can remove product with it. They make MF bonnets that you place over a pad and you use this to remove product. Some people just use a regular MF towel and place the PC on top and remove product that way. I find it easier to remove product by hand.

You should be working in polishes and compounds until there is hardly anything left anyway so doing it by hand is easy.



I would not use the PC to take off anything but that is just my preference.

i use a MF towel to remove any left over polish, glaze, wax
