Question on 3M swirl remover?

I just tried it for the first time yesterday and am very happy with it. The bottle I have says its for dark colored cars though. Can I use this on silver paint? Do I need to get the kind for light colored cars? Thanks

The only difference is the dye in it, so it's not as noticable in seams and around emblems.
