This question is from a friend, I figured I would try to give him an educated answer so I'll ask you guys.

My dad is getting ready to finally sell his '97 M3 Sedan (48k miles, unmodified and in great cond.). It is Arctic Silver Metallic. Can you recommend some products? Particularly, what wax would be best to give the metallic flakes some pop? Four Star UPP, Jeffs Werkstatt, Acrylic Jett, Collinite 845, Pinnacle Signature Series II?

Prep is key...a wax/sealant will only add so much.

What is the condition of the paint? Any swirls/cob-webbing?

I'll second this!!

prep is the key to a better finish...and all that said...any of those lines posted are good...bare in mind that process is 90% product is10%

PB's PwS if you need some light correction, or PB's EX-P if no additional surface polishing is needed. I've found both to provide a pleasing appearance while maintaining good clarity.

I bought Pinnacle Signature Series (original version) to use as a topper over EX-P, but never got around to using it so I can't comment with first hand experience, but IIRC that paint is the intended target for that product.

I will also say that the DG AW is a good topper over EX-P.

That and Natty's Blue is what I use on my silver VW.
That must be a Silver Reflex? I guess I need to revist my Natty's Blue. My impression (relying on memory mind you) was that it did not show off the metal flake to its best effect as compared to EX-P, PwS, or even UPP.

 I'll third this,
Especially if car has metalflake. A good wash w/wax strip. Followed by clay, polish, then sealant. And your POP's will be proud. :dcrules
