Jul 15, 2006 #1 T tmonsen5 New member hey i work at my BMW dealer, and the detail guys use a steel wool pad on windows to get rid of dried up water spots. is this really bad to do? it seems to work but does this put swirls into the windows?

Jul 15, 2006 #2 C CelicaLover New member yeah, it's safe I do it all the time as long as its the #0000 steel wool. Does a terrific job when they haven't etched into the glass yet.
