Question about Poorboy's polishes

My questions is, what the real difference between Poorboy's 1, 2, & 3 swirl removers and their Professional Polish?

I understand that 1, 2, 3 are different levels of abrasiveness, but what about the Pro Polish? Is it something different alltogether?

Should I buy all of them?

I personally have not had any experience with the Pro Polish, but as far I can tell, the pro polish is basically PB's verison of AIO. It is more of a cleaner used before the wax or sealant. As fas as the SSR's go, you can't go wrong. They are great polishes. I would also recomend the EX as a sealer. If you have heavy swirls or even medium swirls, I would get the SSR 2.5 and SSR 1.0. If it's a dark colored car and scratched pretty well, I would also get the SSR 2.0 as a step down between the 2.5 and 1.0.

Enjoy the polishes. They're awesome in my eyes.

I would say get 2.5 and 1. If you are going to be doing some serious paint correction then you would need SSR 3. Some members are able to go directly from SSR 2.5 to an LSP. One of the great things about PB's products is that you can work with them in the sun.

I don't have any experience with pro polish.

As stated above...2.5 and 1 should be all you need. Pro Polish has it's place but it's redundant if used after the other 2.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll order all the SSR's, just in case. My car isn't too bad, but my fathers is a mess. I'd like to try the EX sealer, but I just bought AIO/SG and some P21S wax.

It shouldn't be a problem to polish with Poorboy's and seal with Klasse, will it?

The car is a WRX world rally blue.

No the SSR's will be fine, plus AIO will clean and lay down a good base for SG. Just make sure you apply the SG really, really thin.

jeff if you need some help with the WRX let me knw you can come up and we'll get it done.

Thanks! I'm going to hold you to that! Let me order the Poorboys stuff first, and I'll be in touch. I've already got the AIO/SG, PC, ect.

What about non-abrasive polishes? What would you guys use b/f EX/EX-P? PwC, PP, AIO, UPC, ColorX? With all the talk about bonding issues, what would EX/EX-P bond the best to?

just wondering why pro polish would be redundant after ssr2.5 ssr1 but AOI wouldnt be?

There would be no need to polish again after SSR1. AIO can be used (and bot be redundant) because it's a chemical cleaner, and will leave a smooth, glossy base to apply your LSP over.

ok i thought pro polish was poorboys version or AOI also a chemical cleaner

Poorboy's PP leaves no protection behind. As for PB's products and their comparison to AIO, I read PB's PwC described as "AIO on steroids."
