question about Pboy polish?

is poorboy pure polish consider a pre wax cleaner? like meg #80 speed glaze?

can you use Poorboy EX-P sealtant after you use the pure polish? and what pad would you use to apply the product and at what speed?

you could say that pro polish is like a prewax cleaner in that it will remove very minor imperfections and bring out a real nice shine. It isn't like a glase because it will not hide any swirls or marks. If you are going to use EX-P than i would surly use pro polish first. When you use a Pure Sealant you don't want any fillers under it to prevent or reduce the bonding action with the paint, just a nice clean surface.
 
which pad should i use to apply the pure polish and the EX-P? i think i will be using the PC so what speed should i use to apply also?

I was thinking of this process, what you guys think? am i missing anything?

Yea it will some but that's how you get rid of the swrils in your clear do not worry it will not hurt your car
 
Any abrasive product--whether chemical like AIO or a swirl remover--will strip a minute amount of your clear coat. With true swirl removers (not fillers) you are leveling the clear coat to the scratches.
With a light abrasive like propolish and a polishing pad, that damage is very slight.
 
Poorboys Pro polish (PP or PPP) @ 5-5.5 with a polishing pad.

Poorboys EX-P Sealer @ 4 with a finishing pad.


PP is a very good cleaner polish, especially on glass and chrome. I prefer SSR1 in the poorboys line for what you are trying to do. Have you already placed your order?
 
I apply Propolish w/ a polishing pad @ 4.5-5.5
and my sealant w/ a finishing pad @ about 2-3

I'm just trying to clean the surface for my LSP. i dont think i would need ssr1 because my is new and it dont seem like it has any marks. between 1st and 2nd coat of EX-P. what if the car get dirty would you wash it agian?
 
IMO you will get a higher gloss/cleaner finish with SSR1. It's a very mild finishing polish. I would apply EX-P x 2 one coat (let it cure), immidiately followed by your 2nd coat to ensure full coverage.

isn't cure time for EX-P is 18 hours so it would be a two day process right?
 
I used my PC for the 1st time today :biggrin: ... applied PB ProPolish and boy am I impressed. Couldn't decide between Optimum Polish and PB PP but decided to go the PB route since the rest of the detail will be PB products. I had heard alot of good things about both products, and knew I couldn't go wrong with ProPolish...

Anyway, I used the LC white polish pad with the PC at 4.5 to work in the polish. I first layed some of the polish on the surface, then worked it in real well. The results were a very shinny, squeeky clean surface.

( I followed that with a layer of EX-P, then will apply another couple layers over the next couple of days. I typically allow 18 to 24 hours between each layer. At least 24 to 36 hours before applying a wax on top of any sealant. Next weekend I'll put some Nattys regular on and spit shine it! )

How 'bout them Colts !!!
