Question about my process (SIP,106FA,BFWD)

I am planning to fully detail my car soon but I had a few questions. I am using a FLex 3401 and I have Uber Orange, Green, Blue, Black pads. I also have Menz SIP and 106FA along with BFWD.

I've read that the Orange Uber pad is very hard and is more for heavy correction or hard clears. I have a Mitsubishi Evo and the clear is very soft and thin. I think i am going to:

Wash with CG Citrus Wash

Clay with OID

Green pad with Menz SIP

Blue pad with Menz 106FA

Black Pad with Blackfire Wet Diamond.

I was wondering if i should put a glaze such as DWG or something else on before the BFWD. Also I was wondering if I should top the BFWD with something. Thanks

Switch the pads for the 106FA and Blackfire and your set. Just make sure to wipe the car down a few times with Prep Sol or IPA after ALL polishing is done and re wash it before you apply your Blackfire. Your Evo will be looking FLY to say the least.

If you want a little extra pop and something to aid in cleaning the paint, use Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze after 106 on a fresh black pad, THEN use Blackfire. Talk about a slick surface. The slickest surface available.

The black pad has little to no cut. Use the green, but I wished you had a white polishing pad. Applying BFWD with the blue is fine.

so i should SIP and 106FA with green and then apply the BFWD with blue. I always thought that the black pad was meant for sealants

Its the Uber green from DetailersDomain. I have the Orange, Green, Blue and Black from them. The green is very soft compared the the Orange.

I use and recommend Chemical Guy's EZ Creme Glaze. It adds some nice pop to the paint and really preps the paint for your sealant. It's acrylic based. I would leave the BFWD by itself, no reason to top it and lose the slickness it provides.

I agree with Got Leather on the pads and polish combo's and no point in topping BF although I have Vintage over blackfire on the front half and BF alone on the back half.
