Question About Clearkote Red Moose GLAZE

I was on the website for ClearKote taking alook at some of the products. I am currently hunting for something other then Meguiars 83 to remove swirls, random scratches, and oxidation. I stubled across the glaze section and I couldn't figure out where this would fit into my detailing routine. This may be a stupid question, but they say you can use it before a sealant to improve gloss and wetness. I thought this was the job of the different "polishes" I was using. Normally I clay, correct with Meg 83, ZPC, Z5, Z2, Z8. In any event the stuff Sounds appealing. So with a system like Zaino, how would this stuff fit in?

for the most part glazes and selants dont mix, a sealant can not bond to the paint when using a glaze esp zaino. Zaino needs a clean surface to work properly

I have used megs 21 under a glaze and no problem

So this is more of a product you would use with a Nuba wax?

Other then gloss and wetness does it do anything else?

Danase Wet Glaze is a pure gloss enhancer. It isn't a polish and it sure isn't a glaze like you have ever used before. It is made with acrylic polymers that form a very strong bond to the vehicles surface so you are sure it will not wash away like other glazes. The polymers also allow Wet Glaze to do something that you can't even think about doing with other glazes. They allow it to be topped with a wax or sealant without any bonding or application issues! That means to streaky mess when trying to wax or seal on top of this glaze! Top Wet Glaze with your favorite wax or sealant for added protection and appearance...OR you can even use Wet Glaze on top of your favorite wax or sealant for added durability and appearance to them as well! And if that isn't enough Wet Glaze also repels dust! Wet Glaze applies so easy that is almost seems to melt right into the paint. You won't believe how wet your vehicle looks after an application of Wet Glaze.

This was all taken from the Danase website. Im sure Bob will chime in with some added information in a day or so.

Danase Wet Glaze

Correct?

I am also looking to purchase some sort of correction cream. Up until now i have been using Megs 83 which is Ok. I am looking for something easy on easy off, that will take care of swirls, scratches, and oxidation right away. Whats the best product to use. Should I go with Clearkote, Five Star, Poorboys world, Chem guys? So many choices

yeah thats the glaze.

Many people here seem to like the Menzerna line of products as well as the Optimum and Poorboys lines. I've only tried Optimum and it works great. Really good line for beginners as it has a long working time and doesn't dust practically at all. Plus I think its the cheapest route to go.

I was a big user of Meguiars DAPC and still a fan of it, but I have recently switched over to Optimum Compound and have found it easy to use and the working time with little to no dusting is great. Can also be used in the sun. I have also used the Clearkote Glazes, such as RMG and VM. Both are outstanding products that leaves a finish with a very deep and slick surface and haven't experienced any problems with sealants such as UPP, PB EX-P, Meguiars 21 etc.. I have never used Zaino so don't know how it would work over Optimum Compound, but it's a different animal in itself and more of a system than an individual product.

Yep.... Danase Wet Glaze or Chemical Guy's EZ-Creme Glaze, as well as the Sonus Swirlbuster products play nice with any non-cleaning LSP that I've seen. They don't hide swirls nearly as well as old-style oil glazes (Meg's venerable 7, BC Product-X, or Vanilla Moose/Red Moose) but they do add a ton of gloss and work sith sealant - it's hard to recommend *against* using an acrylic glaze on every job (I cut my 106FF with EZ-Creme in the bottle).

Very interesting, I will try to get ahold of the DWG, and since all of the poorboys and chem guys, and Clearkote products seem to be good I will give few of those a try too.

Thanks,

DG
