Quality Hose Repair Kits?

Hi, has anyone come across any garden hose repair kits? I am trying to repair a few hoses and also make a few custom length hoses. Over the years I have tried different types of fittings that are available at the hardware store, etc. It seems they are mostly flimsy and don't hold up well under heavy usage. Has anyone come across any sort of repair system that will hold up and not leak?

Tom, I've been using Nelson repair kits for years - built to last and have never had one fail. Generally, I use menders to make custom-length hoses and buy them at Ace Hardware. Hope this helps...

I was starting to wonder if I am the only one trying to salvage an old hose.



Brass it shall be! I've only tried plastic in the past and that is pure junk.
