I've looked through the dozen (hundreds?) of threads on this and haven't found the exact answers I was looking for. A couple of questions after trying my PC for the first time...
A) I was using a yellow pad + 3M Perfect-it SMR (39109) and following the instructions from Roadyfly. Sometimes I was getting it to break down to a powder, sometimes I could only get it to a haze. Was I using too much product, too little pressure? I noticed that the panels I did that were in the sun tended to break down better than those in shade, if that helps any! Some areas I worked and worked and could never get it past the 'haze' (which would buff right off with a MF). I'm not sure I was getting the full use of the product (from how I understand it works).
B) I removed the majority of the swirls, but still had some small ones (more visible after washing prior to Z application). Do I need to go to something more aggressive (I also have 3M Finesse-it II Machine Polish / #39003), and from what I understand, this is slightly more aggressive?
C) I am pretty sure the SMR contails oils & fillers, so I did do a Dawn wash prior to the Z, if I step up to the 39003, do I still need a wash prior to Z application (I believe I have read it does not contain fillers)?
I was pleased with my first efforts with the PC, but now want to refine them with the help of those who know, so your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
