QEW in QD?

Anyone ever thought of putting in some QEW concentrate into their QD to get a bit more lubrication? One ounce QEW into one gallon of QD would be the appropriate ratio, but that's a lot of QD gone to waste if it starts streaking badly... I'm hoping there is some component of the QD that might help negate any possible streaking.

I was thinking of scaling down to ~4mL of QEW into 16oz of QD as a trial.

The candidate qd's I was thinking of are Meg's Final Detail, since it is so cheap and won't be a catastrophic loss if I wasted 16oz, and clearkote quikshine, since i also have this in gallon size.

Anyone else interested in trying this? :)

As long as your surface is already waxed, you shouldn't need too much of a lubricant on your finish. I have used Sonus for a while and haven't needed any more "lubrication" in my QD at all. Maybe you have a diff. circumstance though?

I was recently contemplating whether or not you could combine QEW with a QD to create your own "waterless wash" or "spray and wash" type product. Instead of adding a cap to QD, I was thinking about adding a cap to 1/2 gallon or gallon of water and then combining that with a QD.

Would that work to do a quick wash on a car that wasn't extremely dirty or is that too big of a risk?

QEW IS DESIGNED AS A QUICK WASH. Hence the name. Im not sure as to what benefits you would get by mixing all of this together.

My idea was to boost a normal qd's ability to encapsulate dirt. This way, you can feel more at ease about using QD on a dusty car that isn't quite dirty enough to justify doing a full QEW or hose/bucket wash. Perhaps you can use such a QD when several hours have passed since you washed it, provided that you drove short distances.

I add an ounce or two of QD to the QEW mixture when I wash really dirty cars. Seems to help minimize any drying streaks.

Ok i see. Sounds like a plan to me.:o Sorry to sound so rude. I was just not understanding why you would want a easier QEW.
