QD Recommendation with Klasse

I have 4 layers of SG on my car topped with S100. I have some meguires QD but i'm not sure. Right now i'm using filtered water. I was thinking of maybe putting a drop of Gold class carwash in and shake it up everytime I use it. Any suggestions.

The Sonus Acrylic Spritz is a recommended QD for Klasse. I really thought it worked well with it. It is not caranauba based, so it will not interfere if used between coats of SG.

or you could do like www.klassedirect.com suggests and use a little bit of klasse aio and water(distilled preferably) for a great qd. I use it occasionally on my car when it needs it, but it works great as a qd. Another qd that works on klasse twins is the meguiars final detail.

I just put Klasse on my truck for the first time.Man,I love this stuff.I tried a couple of different QDs on mine and found I liked the EO Wipe & Shine the best

I agree. I really like EOWS as a inexpensive QD for Klasse. I think it gives a better shine than Megs FI.

Thanks guys, I'll try the EOWS. I would try and AIO with water thing, but I don't want to waste any of the Klasse cause I have to order it and shipping is expensive.

Since you have topped the Klasse with S100, you don't need to be too picky with the QD. Any bonding issues with successive coats of SG already exist due to the carnuba topper.

That said, right before I add a layer of SG, I'll qd with Sonus. Sonus is kind of expensive, so I still use Eagle One Wipe and Shine (EOWS) as a good, cheap, regular QD.

I don't understand this. Wouldn't the cleaners in the AIO/water QD, despite being diluted, strip off some of your SG or whatever sealant/carnauba was on the car? I can see how it would still look nice as it is laying down a mild base layer of acrylic sealant each time it is used, but the SG would be pointless as it is being stripped off each time you use spray this AIO/water on it. Might as well forget SG then, and just use AIO/water QD spray every week or so.

raising this topic from the dead.

anyone got a good answer for the question above posted by iceman?

aio polish diluted wont strip sg=hard to believe.

Actually, I don't find it so hard to believe (depending on the dilution ratio, that is) . . . consider this: Many OTC QDs contain alcohol. Alcohol can be used to strip wax and polymers, but in the dilution at which it's used in QDs, it doesn't.

Now, I'm no chemist, so perhaps the analogy is completely off base. If I had a polymer on my car right now (currently playing with carnaubas), I'd dilute some AIO and go experiment.
