HI all member

i serch for good QD mild and sure it safe in paint ?

already i have meg last touch iused over meg 26# ....the result is very glossy but idescover many fish eye in car specaliy in horzintal surface. my worst QD , ikeep use last touch only in whell and head light and other unpaint plastic . icant use this very contrate QD in my car paint AGAIN .

I would try a water less wash product such as ONR or 4 in 1 and make your own QD. Another alternative is to purchase some Poorboy's S&W. Any of these products will help you. Two of them you have to mix up yourself and one comes already prepared.

I would have said both Quick Shine from Clearkote and Mothers Showtime would fit your bill.

They both clean and leave a nice finish to paintwork with out leaving any extra material on the car like wax or polymer protection.

Thank you steelwind101 did y try zymol qd or field glaze ?

Hello,

I have tried both Zymol QD's.

The Blue Bottle "Zymol Detail" is not very nice. It retails for about £10 in the UK, i bought it at Big Lots a clear out store in the USA for $3 a bottle. Its not a Zymol product in that its made by Turtle Wax.

It has an intreasting twist cap to the spray that i could never get to work very well. You spray the unpleasant smelling product on to your car, wait or wipe. Its meant to let the Nuba set then buff. It smeared alot and took effort to get rid of it. To be honest it made hardly any difference to the looks of the car and beading wasnt so tight after i used it. At full retail price i do not recommend, even on discount its hard to promote.

Field Glaze is a different story. Its expensive and only comes in very small amounts 250ml/ 4OZ if i remeber correctly. I have Zymol Destiny and it came up really nice with this but i could not warrenty the extra price over Clearkote Quickshine.

Field Glaze left the car looking deep and wet, like a fresh coat of quality wax. If it was cheaper i would buy more. It seemed to go on with out any smearing but wasnt strong on cleaning. I would not advise this product as something to use when your polishing, its really a last step product to apply after washing on a well maintained car.

Maxi, do you want protection or just good all around QD? If you want something like Zymol please see Pinnacle Crystal Mist cheaper and excellent!!

If you want something to you use while drying your car or in the work shop, consider Mothers Showtime or Clearkote Quick Shine.

Maxi, do you buy in your country or import from the UK or USA??

Geoff

If you have access to the Meguiar's products, the #34 Final Inspection is a bodyshop-safe QD, unlike the Last Touch. It's a decent product for cleaning, again, since it's bodyshop-safe it doesn't have the glossing/slickening agents that some QD's have, so the appearance/feel may not be as impressive as others. It's available in gallons so as to be pretty economical that way.

1- i only need good QD safe in surface ,clearcoat ,with20%glossy (not like last touch 200%and show more swirl) yes in my country hot temprutre 55-65 but i dont care ibout protection beacuse every 3month or 15.000 km i need prewax and wax again with this hot , humid, dusty wether .

i tried pinnacle CM big diffrent betwen PCM AND MG LAST TOUCH , PCM more darker and warm looking good for dark color

iuse zymol concourse 2x in my black charger ..ifeel is not sharp ,if iuse field glaze over concourse become more sharp and hide orang peel

steelwind101:Q: can iuse QD when idrying car ,even there is some water in surface , its not dengeour when water mix with QD in surface?!

Hi,

NO its not dangerous to mix QD and water. Its ideal to dry with a QD, it helps disperse water and provides lubrication for your drying cloth. More so, if in autumn and spring you might get dust settle on a car while your dry the QD will help suspend that dust away from the surface while you dry.

It also adds shine as you dry, saving a step!

Heh heh, I dunno what the primary laguage is is Qatar, but I bet I don't speak it as well as Maxi does English ;)

Maxi- Sounds like the Pinnacle and Zymol are your best bets. I do wonder how you'd like the Meguiar's #34 on "troublesome" paint though.

I used only meguiars last touch , idont like to use because show more swirl , very very bright shine maybe make small swirl or damge bigger with thisQD , ithink the result look like p21s WAX.

OK, I can imagine it doing that. You know I don't like that very very bright/P21S shine look; I like Souveran much better ;)

i will use last touch weekly if i need kill the depth of color!! or if i would sell the car !

ilike p21s easy on- off need 15 min only . the result like QD ,and sure 100% safe in clearcoat.

ilke use souveran or NXT if the car have small damge in surface ,when make car darker mute the small damge , but when go with high gloss its mean show more small defective.

I love Zymol Detail. It is a very versatile and hard working QD. Zymol Detail ("ZD"...new acronym!) I would not consider as mild. It is a bit active in cleaning, but it does leave a nice hint of a carnauba enhanced shine. Detail is ideal for older carauba finishes. Field Glaze has given good results, but IMO it has left me with a greasy result several times, and I actually prefer Detail over Field Glaze.

Sonus Carnauba Spritz, on the other hand, is very mild and leaves a nicely enhanced sheen for newer waxed surfaces.

You basically want to see QDs that appear light in its liquid consistency, and they MUST produce a clean, streak free shine. Some OTC QDs like Megs and Mother's get low marks from me when you compare them to very good quality brands such as Poorboy's, Pinnacle, Zymol, Sonus and a few others.

HI lbls1 nice to see y

really isearch for QD ..because ithink zymol wax under destiny wax level ,like concourse and titanum need more to show gloss with good QD ...and my systam if istart detail with zymol iwould finsh all steps with zymol because ithink is better result if use same product package ,idont like use many product names when detail car.

for examp:nxt

iuse meguairs product step by step wash >prep>cleaner>polish>wax nxt>MG QD=best level of shine and depth.

Q :lbls1 : i applyed 3 coats of destiny isaw is not sharp like 2 coats befor , do you think zymol wax after every 2 coats need pre wax like swissol system.?? i lose some sharp with 3 coats even i feel is more shiner but when come so close you can see there like orang peel. maybe 3 coat too much in one month!! iremove small part with pre wax and surface become more sharp . ithink after 2 coats you must stop for 4 month or more no more wax
