QD After UPGP

Some people have mentioned that going over cured UPGP with a qd can clean up any streaks and bring up the gloss a bit. Will any good qd like FK425 or CK's QS work, or do I specifically need to use Ultima's detail spray?

Yes as i do it all the time with fk425.

Or use Chem Guys EZ Creme glaze prior to Ultima to amp up the gloss. I would do both.

DWG as a base and toped with 3 coats of UPGP is a winning combo. The better the prep the better the finish.

Not to change the subject, but Ultima's QD is pretty good, so if you're considering buying it anyways, I'd definitely go for it.

Um...not sure what you want, but here goes!



The Ultima just didn't seem to work out as well for me. Categorically.



IMO it isn't as slick, tends to leave more marring when removing bird and bug blasts, I don't like it as a pad starter as much either. Seemed to "watery" in comparison to the FK slickness.



FK is my QD solution with Adams as a distant fall back. Adam's is my fall back option because it is a decent QD and can be obtained locally in a pinch.



The only knock I have against the FK is their recent switch to a different spray bottle. I loved the original swivel top. The new ones are garbage in comparison. Booo! So I dump the new bottles into the originals and keep on plugging.



FK QD is the best QD I have tried. Nothing else has even approached it yet.

If you get streaks, then your using too much. I've never had an issue with UPGP.
