Q for those with NXT Wash

How strong do you guys mix up your NXT wash. I have been using 2 or 3 oz/ 3 gal water per directions. I was wondering if you could mix it a little weaker to minimize product usage.

I don't measure it but I just dump it into my 3 gallon bucket for a full "1-one thousand" count. I'd say its roughly 2-3 oz's.

I'll spend the little extra money to make sure it's enough soap.

I use about one ounce, two capfuls for 2 gallons. Still get good suds and lubricity. I actually add the soap in after I get 1/2 a gallon of water in or I can't tell how much water is in the bucket.

I actually keep a little 2oz bottle around just for my wash. I pour in 2 oz exactly, then fill up my 5gal bucket approx 1/2 way.

It's just that doing about 3 washes a week (multiple cars) I go through my washes like wildfire....yeah its like 6oz a week.

I use about an ounce per gallon. Guesstimating since I use the same method GSRstilez does.

It seems just about right to me as-is, though I probably could get away with a bit less.

Does NXT wash work for other kinds of waxes and sealants (P21S and Klasse)? And not just for the NXT product line. I ask because the bottle mentioned it for NXT wax.

Thanks!

I usually give it a 1 one thousand count too. I probably use too much but I would rather that and use more soap than not have enough. I also add about 2-3 capfulls in a 3 gallon solution of QEW to bump up lubricity.

I think all you are worried about for the wash is that it has sufficient cleaning power, but is still gentle on wax/sealant.

The idea behind using the proper amount of soap is to protect your sealant/wax job. If you are going to to be waxing/sealing once a month, the amount of soap to be used is irrelevant. I can't wax every month (time constraints because of multiple vehicles), so I am pretty stingy with my car soap. It's not the price, since a $10 bottle lasts me 2 years. :)

I dont see how this should be off concern. The detergents are gentle enough that if you use too much then it wont do much damage to the protectant...especially a sealant. Its better than wash induced marring, I say if you gotta be on one side or the other, better too much than too little.
