Q.e.w

Detailing NY

Well i could not wait any more, i need to wash the cars today, but it was still to cold out by my house to turn the outside water on.

I bought a gallon of water in the store and went to work on the cars with QEW.

I could not believe how easy it was. I wash & dryed the entire car in less then 15 minutes.

Everyone should have a bottle of QEW with them. In fact the car that was the easiest to clean was the one I waxed last. It seemed as if a well taken care of car cleans off much easier then the car that just sits in front of my home.

This is a great product & i will be buying some more. I suggest you guys try some as well.

Okay, okay, you talked me into it....wait, I've been using it for 10 years now!

:p

Glad it worked so well for you Brian. You are right-it works super fast on freshly waxed cars.

After reading all the post in the forums about QEW I felt that this was a product I can`t be without in Michigan. Placed an order with Camping World on Thursday last ( only $1.00 for shipping) and they e-mailed that it would be here on Tuesday. Can`t wait to try it.

The weather report for this week is cold with more cold. Don`t really care, as I`ll be in the garage trying out QEW.

It's pretty remarkable stuff...I've been using it all winter!

The inside of my car looks worse than the outside...I need a heated garage with a Bissell carpet extractor!:o

I must also agree that the q.e.w. is great stuff. I load up two buckets with warm water, one with the Q.E.W. in it, and down the elevator i go to the underground garage. After the use of a couple of waffle weave towels and some Q.D. the car looks fantastic.

People at work keep asking me how i keep the car looking so clean all winter.

It's really not that hard with the rite stuff!

Cheers

I use another wash when I use the bucket wash method. Today I sprayed EO Wax as u Dry on the wet areas then dried with waffle MF. Awesome results!

agreed, it works great. I found that with two people you can fly through the washing. Also it works good on the wheels and wheel wells. Thanks Scott.

Ok, that's enough! If one more person starts a thread praising this stuff, i'm gonna have to buy some. Oh..but i love bucket washing so much...i'm scared:scared

I live in Southern California and still use QEW. Since it’s been raining a bit here lately, my cars were a little dirtier than normal and QEW did a great job on them. Sometimes I add a cap of car shampoo in addition to the QEW to get a bit more lubricity since QEW by itself doesn’t have any. On really dirty areas like the lower panels, rear bumper & wheels, I pre-soak the area with a QD spray and the dirt wipes off with no effort at all. Lately, I’ve been taking extra liberties when using this product. Sometimes I’ll wipe down 3-4 panels at a time if the car isn't too dirty and this really speeds up the process. I then dry with a BBT and can finish my car in half the time it takes for a normal wash with no water dripping from the seams & no hose to deal with….and best of all, no dirt on my BBT when drying.

Just arrived home and found my order of QEW from Camping World was here. For some unknown reason the garage was locked and the UPS driver left the package outside.

After opening the box and reading the directions I noticed it said KEEP FROM FREEZING. Upon a close inspection I saw that a small quantity of ice had formed near the top of the bottle. Question, will this have any adverse effect when using QEW?

Thanks

Sprongs-as long as it didn't freeze solid, you should be okay. I keep a 16 oz bottle in my trunk (too hard to pour from the gallon jugs into the cap) and I've had the same thing happen with no adverse affects to QEWs cleaning ability.

I would probably call the place you ordered from. Perhaps they'll send you a second shipment of it at UPS's expense.

There is an 800 number on the label for comments/questions - you could give them a call and ask them about the freezing...

My guess is that it will be okay - doesn't sound like it froze solid, or that the products separated.

The QEW didn`t freeze solid, just a few small floating "ice bergs" near the top. Will give it a try today after work if I have a few minutes as I am to take the wife out for dinner.

Asjk07,

I also live in Southern Ca. I tried QEW a few months back and also found no lubricity when using QEW in a bucket of water. I used it on my wife's Accord after a week of driving , it has your average dust and dirt. What worried me was the bits of dirt that did not wipe off with the QEW and the waffle weave towel I used to dry the panel got soo dirty. I really prefer to go the the coin op car wash and use the spot free rinse cycle- it does a much better job of removing all the dirt and my waffle weave that I use to dry, stays pretty clean. Plus there are no water spots if any water "drips" from the seams. How can your BBT not get dirty when using QEW?:nixweiss

Personally I wouldn't do all the drying with something like a waffleweave or BBT. I could see myself doing initial wiping with a thick terry bath towel and doing a final drying wipe with a waffleweave, but not just that alone. Depending on how dirty the car is, a towel can pick up a lot of dirt....
