Just want to say WOW to this combo! Very nice product to work with, I wish I remembered the guys name that recommended it a while back because I'd say thanks! So I must pass it on, if you have major swirling and/or RIDS, this combo is well worth buying! Oh and after one or two passes (I dare to say) it finishes off darn near LSP!!

Here are a few pics, long term project I'm working on now... 66 GTO :bigups

Again, these shots are not the "finished" product, this was after one or two passes of purple wool and presta!

Now I'm going to go buy a bunch of purple wool and gallons of presta before you guys start jacking the prices up! :lol

Looks great!

It could of been me referring it to you in the past. I have been using Presta products for 15 years and have had amazing results. Some of the best polishes and compounds via wool.

Ryan hookup me up with the presta polishes a while ago. I have used the strada 1000 and black edge heavy cut wool on more then one occasion. Presta 1500 and the green edge wool work very well together as well for medium defects.

Was that with UCC, UCCL or 1500.......?

UCCL but I'm going to have to buy some of their other cuts.

Oh and not to knock PG but I grabbed another purple pad and tried it out on the same panel, good cut, a little harder to work with (on the cold side) but it left hazing. Picked the Strata back up, BAM! Gone. Impressive.

I see using maybe LCBlack with Menz FP as a topper.

UCC has been one of my top compounds for 15 years. Funny thing is, it has been out since 1993. The formula changed a bit due to VOC laws, but still works superb.

If you keep fanning it with water while polishing your finish will go through the roof with gloss. A little trick for ya there.;)

That will give you a superb base gloss to begin with before finessing with a finish polish.

Noticeable difference between the UCC and UCCL?

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that this weekend! :beersagain

Thanks....I'll try that out the next time I get a chance to use Presta......:xyxthumbs

I like UCC a bit better than UCCL, a faster working product.

Wren, how did you deal with the pad gunking up. I love purple wool but they gunk up a bit and I have to use 3 of them for a car for best results.

I'm going to order some UCC along with some more UCCL today then.

I spur the pad after one or two applications. I also found that a 50/50 wipedown after a few application helps cut down on the pad being "grippy"

I see the General Lee in the background, is that a true restore?

Oh yeah it is!! Here's the link...

Welcome to LostGeneralLee.com!

That one will be next after the GTO. It looks great but when you get close you see a lot of problems, hazing, pigtails, swirling...
