Pulled the trigger on 3D new 505 aio correction glaze

So my current bottle of speed is pretty much gone and I have a job coming in tomorrow that will be a perfect candidate to try out the new 3D 505 correction glaze.

I bought directly from 3D. And yes it is definitely more money than Speed but I had to give this a shot. I couldn`t resist haha.

The candidate will be a black 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I will post up tomorrow afternoon with my results.

Haha! Sorry man. I have been good lately in regards to trying the latest and greatest. In all honesty I am not sure how much better this will be than speed but I am going to find out!

yes find out so I can save some money
I can`t imagine any AIO replacing my Poorboys PW-line stuff but this might have some serious cut to it

I still have a good amount of Speed left. And since the Poorboys PW-line is my go-to for an AIO, it will be some time before I consider the 505. Unless some crazy special comes along for some super duper great savings.

Speaking of....Just used Poorboy`s PW/Exp on Sunday on the roof of my Yaris. Pleasant scent. Love that it`s so easy to wipe off as well.

One thing I already noticed is that it`s almost scentless. A small chemical smell but hardly notice it. No grape HD Speed smell lol

Surprising.

I do like HD Speed scent. But I did find the 501 to be downright near vomit inducing. Okay, slight exaggeration but it really stinks.
 
Curious as to your results with this. I dont currently understand where this product is supposed to fit in with speed still available, and for such a steep price for the new 505 compared to speed. Any way to get a side by side comparison between this and speed?
 
I really hope 3D doesn`t discontinue Speed and think everyone will just blindly switch over to this expensive stuff.

This one is body shop safe.

They won`t. This is their money maker. But one never knows about 3D.
 
D114 was a great product (I dont know if Megs made money on it or not) and they dumped it. Like you said, you never know I guess.

On another thread, I had asked if 505 will be replacing HD Speed, in a similar manner as to how HD Adapt was being replaced by 502

Good question, but I don`t foresee that happening (I won`t hold my breathe though). Speed & 505 are pretty different.

So I did get to use it today. I have some after shots but in all honesty this Jeep was in awesome shape with only 11k miles. It was tough to really test correcting ability. But no worries I have another car this weekend that will be a good test.

So my first thoughts are.

No strong scent.
A little bit goes very far!

I used it on my g21 with a LC white pro thin pad. The tiny bit of light love marks were easily removed. I applied it to the whole car before wiping off. Wipe off was effortless. Even more so than speed IMO. And it didn`t dust a single bit. I do know with speed as the pad gets loaded it will dust a small amount or get sticky. No issues at all.

This weekend I will test correcting ability.

Here are some finished shots from today. 505 AIO followed by TAC Systems Quartz Max.

Got a little bit over zealous with the first few drops lol.












 
Looks nice, but I`m still skeptical.

You`re (3D car care) going to have a hell of a time convincing me an AIO is worth $70 for a 32oz bottle. This has got to be BY FAR the most expensive AIO on the market

3D`s justification is that it is aimed towards the body shop where the body shop industry would pay that price.
