The client is none other then JDookie. He is from the Big Easy and wanted this black beast looking right when they flew in to pick it up.

The client made arrangments for me to detail it at the dealership where he purchased it from. I arrived at 7:30a, gauged the paint and let the client know that there was no sign of any repainted panels.

After a QEW wash and 3x straight IPA wipedowns:

After:

M105/surbuf/G110v2 speed 5

M205/black classic LC flat/G110v2 speed 5

I was not 100% happy with the finish that just a 2 step polish was leaving on this PITA GM black paint. So my actual process on all the painted areas was the following:

M105/surbuf/G110v2 speed 5

M205/orange classic LC flat/G110v2 speed 5

M205/black classic LC flat/G110v2 speed 5

I did a wipedown with M34 to remove some dust and applied a coat of Blackfire wetdiamond.

Prior to leaving the dealership at midnight. :faint:

There where a few things that I did not have to finish. The client would bring the Denali down to my place after they flew in and picked it up. Got them setup with a place to eat and see a movie close by. They decided to stay in the area and start out the next day early.

While I double checked everything and finished up on the exterior. My wife was kind enough to vacuum the interior. The carpet or mats did not appear to be that dirty. I brushed the mats and blew then with compressed air. Went over them with the shop vac. They did not pass my wife's test:

So it was time to break out the heavy hitter. Our new Dyson DC28. Amy went over the mats many times. There was still some sand coming out of the mats. :sadpace: Shook them out and beat them till they cried. Went over them again with the Dyson.

This is how much sand the dyson pulled out of the mats. Plus what was shook out into the basket could of filled a sand box.

The dash and most of the hard plastics had a nice coat of 20w-50 that the auction detailers apply to every car that the dealership buys. I cleaned that off with IZ Plastik-Reiniger and followed with 1Z Tiefenpfleger.

Leather got Zaino Z9/10.

Sorry no finished pics of the interior.

I did a 2BM wash, cleaned the tires with ARO 1:1, wheels cleaned with MWB. Tires got Zaino Z-16. Windshield got Aquapel.

Thanks Jason for letting me work on your new rig! :hifive:

Great work Bryan! That was a lot of surface area to cover in one day! You must have been spent!!! :faint:

Bryan - great job on that PITA GM black paint! It must still have a thick clear on it with that much peel remaining.

came out great......but damn i had no idea those trucks had so much orange peel....

Thanks LS1. I think my white Denali 1500 has the same amount. I've also done more then a few black C6 vettes that are right there as well.

Thank you grungy! With total readings in the mid 4s to mid 5s, its hard to say.

once again bryan, awesome job :up you are one that has definitely pushed the envelope with the PC and have taken it to another level...

Just getting home from the 7 hour drive. Would have made it a little quicker, but the Troopers were out with a vengeance!! No big deal, just took my time, and enjoyed the drive.

Bryan,

I can't thank you enough, buddy. I never got to see how it looked before you worked on it, but seeing the results was just mind blowing. You certainly went far beyond what was ever expected of you, and I really appreciate it. You made this *black beauty* (my wife's nickname for it, lol) look like brand new again.......actually, it probably looks even better than new!!

If there's ever anything I can do for you, just say the word, and if you're ever in New Orleans, I insist that you let me know so I can take you and your family out to a good old nawlins dinner!! :xyxthumbs

Autopia,

Bryan's work is the best I have ever seen, he definitely has some magical skills, and I can vouch that his pictures don't do this vehicle justice. Yes, it looks really good in the pics, but you'd have to see it in person to really appreciate how *perfect* his detail is, and I don't say that lightly. It's rare that I see a perfect detail, and this is definitely one. He didn't miss a beat.

So, Bryan, thank you again, buddy. You have one VERY happy customer. Now I'm going to have to get back in the saddle and maintain all the hard work you put into it, lol.

Pat, you have no idea! It's funny, the dealership sent me pictures of it, and said that it was so "clean" that it didn't even need a detail, which I knew was bologna, so that's when I started looking for an *Autopian* to tackle it for me, and I was lucky enough to get in touch with Bryan. His before pics say it all. I would have been very disappointed when I got there if I would have seen all those swirls, but instead, I arrived with a huge grin on my face! :spot
