A friend of mine is road-tripping to Pike's Peak for some hill climb fun (he's serving on a pit crew), and is concerned about the bugs on the drive to and from. I pointed him to ProWax's website and Bug Guard (I haven't used it, but read good reviews here). He's decided to purchase a gallon, about $15. The shipping prices on the website are set by the cost of your order, not weight (a la CMA), and the next price bump for shipping comes at $40. He'd like to pad his order out to close to $40 to get his S&H money's worth, but isn't sure what might be useful and in the $20-$25 range.

He's something of a detailing enthusiast, but relies on my help when it comes to polishing (that is, he washes frequently, and waxes occasionally, but calls on me to help with swirls), so compounds and polishes wouldn't be of great use. If you can recommend stuff like washes, glazes, sealants, degreasers, vinyl/rubber/tire dressings and cleaners, wheel cleaners, etc. that fall around the $20 mark, and that you think are particularly good from the ProWax product line, please chime in with suggestions.

Thanks for any help,

Hey, the best person to ask would be Intel486; he uses a ton of Pro Wax products. I have had great luck with Pro's C-49(?) Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner (just mix it correctly). I also really like their Carpet and Upholstry Cleaner. Both of these are excellent products.

1. P-35-H Satin Creme wax is very nice.

2. C-45 Upholstery & Carpet Cleaner

3. S-44 Leather Lotion

4. S-71 Clear Rubber Dressing Concentrate, good for exterior.

5. C-60 Super Car Wash Liquid

I just pick up the S-10 Bug Guard and try it on some box vans I wash but I won't know how good it works until I wash them agine next month.

Thanks for the tips . . . he finally settled on a gallon of Glosso. It brought the total to within $0.25 of the $40 limit.
