Protecting Headlights

Hey guys, I have a question what can I use to prevent my headlights from discolering to that nasty yellowish, dirty color???

I've heard of plexus but I cant seem to find it anywhere. I seen other plastic protectents from other companys like lexol & stoners but i wasnt sure exaclty if there what I was lookin for? Every time I drive I see tons or cars with those horrbile looking headlights and i would cry if that happened to me one day. My car is a 2001 so the lights are still nice and shiny but I want to start protecting them asap so that they stay way !

Thanks

p.s. did anyone notice that for some reason it seems that neons are more prone to this, 7 out of 10 dodge neons I see have brownish looking lights, this has nothing to do with my above question but its just a weird thing I noticed.

A good polymer sealant would be the best thing to use to protect the plastic light covers. Zaino Bros polish or Klasse would be best, but they are hard to find if you don't like buying things on line or by mail order. Meguiar's #20 Polymer sealant is a good product , a automotive paint supply shop should have it. If you can't find that product Nufinish or Liquid Glass would also work.

Dont' hit me guys but what about armor all, doesnt that contain some kind of uv protectent? I know armor all is kinda taboo on these forums but im just curious

Dont necessarily look for Plexus with car stuff. I found Plexus with home cleaners and polishes at a hardware store. I was surprised too.:nixweiss

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. I have read some good things about it and it works really well on my dash and headlights. You can read about it at www.303products.com They also have a Supplier locater so you can see if they have near you. I found it in Richmond Virginia at a local boating supply store.

Hope this helps,

Yup, Plexus at the airport. You might also find it at a marine store.
