I am really not sure where to post this, so i posted it here hoping other pro's would know any answer.

I want to clean my deck, i was wondering if anyone knows of a product that i would probably have already that would work

I think apc would remove the waterproofing. My deck is big and would take more then a day to clean.

I am not sure if this would remove your water-proofing but my dad uses a 50/50 mixture of water and bleach. Sprays it on with an insecticide sprayer and lets it sit a few then pressure washes it off.

May work in your case and it's cheap:xyxthumbs

I think this would work, but i dont think it would work for my deck, the deck is stained a light color and i think the bleach would bleach it to white.

They make a deck cleaner solution..at H.D...comes in gallon jug..dilute it..spray on..wash off with hose..can even scrub it a little with an old broom.....looks real nice after dry time.

I have a tinted stain AND waterproofing on my deck. I use an APC from costco(<$5 for 1.25 gal) cut 50/50 in a pump up sprayer. I spray it on, scrub with a brush, then rinse. I have had no problems with it removing my waterseal(which is thompson's). So far it has cleaned very effectively and smells nice too. Hope this helps.

I have a similar issue with my wooden fence. Some extensive research about 2 years ago taught me that a solution *similar* to hydrogen peroxide, used with your pressure washer, make the wood very clean, and ready for new stain/finish

Try this link: http://www.powerwashnetwork.com/

Looks like an interesting forum

Lemme know what you learn! I gotta clean and restain that fence, but I'm working 70 hours a week... who's got time to research, let alone do the work!!!

I know, I'm whining, but I'm also paying the bills!

Everyone always talks about powerwashing the deck, but then everyone I know that has had it done regrets getting it done as it can rip up wood.

My deck is new so i am not going to power wash it, i am just looking to give it a good cleaning
