Does anybody know anything about the ProntoWash concept. They are beginning to establish a prescense in Texas, California and Florida. Any feedback would be helpful.

I like this part:

"Our system consists in washing a car with less than a quarter gallon of fresh water. Our method is based on the Washing Kart technology that permits to spray a low-pressure mix of water and waxes that attracts and adheres dirt, which is later removed by using a cloth with a specific porosity. This process allows us to perform our services without any waste water." :shocked

Specific Porosity????

hmmmmmmm.....

And this:

"Carnauba protects the vehicle from harmful UV rays for 6 months to a year" yeah right....

I'll pass.. .Thank you. :bolt

I say anyone who knows where one is, take your car that has been compounded and polished... basically swirl free, and take it there 1 to 10 times and see how fast the swirls come up. Then I can put together a video with pictures you provide and build a case against it, and all you pros can link or put it on your site.

... if they dont add swirls... :scared:

Prontowash is down here. Our Mall,Town Center has them (apparently you buy a franchise territory or something like that). And also where my old office was in Mizner Park here, our garage had the Pronto guys and their yellow cart things. Never really asked them what they did or used, their not touching my cars/trucks though lol. I moved my office to a new location here and theres a detail company that's in there as well but just a normal private type guy, pretty cool and nice, offered me a job when he saw my truck and asked how I took care of it. Told him I'd work for him but don't think it will pay nearly as well as my business :D

If you go to Pronto's website I think they have pictures of their locations here in Boca Raton.

Oh yeah, now that I see what the carts look like I think they had a franchise last year at the mall down on 192. It's not there anymore though, franchise musta folded. Most of the cars coming out of it looked great, until you saw them in the sun :sosad .

OMG WE NEED Poor pictures... I am definatly up for a making a movie. If any one can take a perfectly polished car and then take it to pronto wash a few times to show all the maring that gets introduce i'll make a movie that shows why their method is flawed and why you should stick with your local autopian = P

That cayenne pic is a business destroyer

I knew just by watching the videos on their site and seeing their techniques using the mitts and towels that they would marr the paint like that

They used the drying towels really badly

Better to fold twice, hold one corner and slowly and gently slide across paint or blot

Then turn over to other side and do next panel, then re fold and go again and then change to clean towel.

Use 4 on my car with each drying session.

Notice how there are no pages for scratch repair, etc in the services menu

Tried clicking on all of them but nothing.

No products listing etc. Probably use products that come in 55 gallon sized containers

OUCH. They are hackers

I live in Canada and have not seen or heard of Prontowash until now.

For the 5% of people like us who notice things such as 'swirling' or 'marring' PW is definately not suitable. BUT....

For the rest of Moms, wives and other clueless people. PW is an awesome concept that delivers a shiny, clean vehicle back to the average driver, and on top of it.... it creates business for specialty detailers like us....

basically the wheel works like such....

Wife takes black Escalade to PW on weekly basis while shopping.

Husband washes black escalade and notices heavy swirling.

Husband calls Autopian for 3 step Polishing OR Joins Autopia.. ;)

Autopian makes money.

Wife goes back to PW.

and the wheel starts again.... :chuckle: :D
