Project help, por favor.

Some of you might remember that I'm just a sophmore in highschool and I was recently asked to do a project for math class where I need to find something that has any lines of symmetry and is outside of the math world.

One thing that was suggested was car manufacturer logos. However, this is where I need some help. I also need to tell some stories as to where the logos came from i.e their history.

So does anybody here know say where the Honda, Acura, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes and the Porsche logos came from? I'm sure there's more out there but I'm currently in the history behind those certain logos.

Thanks lot.

I know the Acura logo is supposed to represent a pair of calipers. It is supposed to signify precision in engineering and all that wonderful stuff. It came out in 1986 when Honda launched the Acura brand name and the first iteration did not contain the crossbar shown in the current logo. That was added later right before the official launch.

The BMW logo is meant to be a propellor of a plane against a blue sky as BMW started as an airplane manufacture.

Lines of symmetry? Tires. They display radial symmetry, because otherwise they wouldn't roll! Not very well anyway...
