Professionals - Fleet pricing?

Any pro detailers deal with fleets? There is a main Verizon building no more than 2 minutes from where the shop is. Owner is in talks with the fleet company about getting their vehicles (200+ cars).

I believe at this point it will just be for washing the outside. But how can you price out a fleet of vehicles for washes without losing money in the end?

I don't think getting a fleet contract like this is a very good idea, but the guy says he wants it done.

Brian (NY Detailer) does.

I don't know exactly how you would price that. The only way I would ever get into fleet washing is if I could have a seperate crew to handle that.

Would the cars be done at the shop, or mobile at the lot?

Well, we haven't exactly talked about it at all. The way I see it is, if they decide their vehicle is dirty enough to get washed they can bring it in for a wash. Some you'll see once a week, some you'll only see once a month maybe.

There is ALOT of details to work out with it if we decide to take something like that on.

Tuff to beat Mike's price...

takes away from your margin on full details. If the boss wants to go marketing, send him to landscapers and construction workers. Caterers, Radio/TV stations, body shops and car dealers (we'll take your problem cars).

Fleet work will never pay...
