Product sequence for paint care

I'm new at detailing Autopia-style and I’m trying to select products for maintaining the paint on my 4 vehicles. I haven’t decided which polishing machine to buy, but it will be a Flex, Makita BO6040, or rotary (Makita 9227).

I want to get products that cover the range of correction/protection/appearance needs that are within the capabilities of a DIY-type of homeowner.

I would appreciate input on this. Only 1 of my vehicles requires all of the paint correction steps shown below. The others might need some spot correction, but general paint treatment would probably start with Megs 105 or equivalent on a polishing pad.

After reading many posts on this forum, I’ve come up with the following:

• Severe RIDS/chips – wet sand, touch up paint, polish

• 1K grit scratches – 3M Scratch Remover by hand or wet sand, as necessary

• 2K grit scratches & severe swirling – Meguiars 105

• Light swirling/minor defects – Meguiars 205

• Final polish – Menzerna P085RD

For the 2 cars that will be waxed, the sequence would continue with the following:

• Pre-wax cleaner – Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

• Wax – Wolfgang Fuzion

• QD – Pinnacle Crystal Mist

For the 2 vehicles that will be sealed, the sequence would continue with:

• Pre-wax cleaner – Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

• Klasse AIO

• Klasse Sealant Glaze

• QD – Sonus Acrylic Spritz

What do you think? Do I have products/steps that do the same thing or are simply unnecessary? Are any of the products incompatible? Have I left out anything? Do you recommend using different products than these? Etc.

Thanks!
